Thanks for this information Bob! Quick question: Do you know if any of these cards carry an age limit? My reasoning for asking is because I applied for a student credit card, because I am a full-time student, but I am age 36. Because of my age, I was told that the card would not be available for anyone past the age of 25. When I first started cleaning my credit, I thought that a student account would be a huge benefit to building my credit history. But when I applied for 2 student cards, I automatically was decline; however, when I went with the rewards card, I was approved. So do you think that it is possible that any of these cards would have an age restriction?

I hadn't heard of an upper age limit, but the category is often listed as Student / Young Adult.

So, it makes sense that some issuers would define Young Adult as ending before age 35.

I'm about your age, and I have the Citi Forward card, which was originally geared towards students. :P
