I see similar reporting delays from the diff CRA's (EQ 2-5, EX 2-3, TU 4-7) but they seem consistant across all creditors. I assumed it was a USAA-CCMP thing.

TU is ALWAYS last. EX is ALWAYS first.

Ok so I have a question.

DH got a new cap 1 card in Feb. The billing cycle (on the statement) shows Feb3-Feb20.

Its still not showing on his CR that he has it.

He has a 2nd card that cut on March 4th. It has an 8.91 balance (on purpose left a small balance while I tried to figure out the ins and outs of when they report, etc) But on his CR it shows that his balance is still 151. I paid all but the $8 on Feb 13.

When should these report to the CRA?

We also bought a car in December that STILL isnt reporting. I'm fighting w/ the dealership because they say they are reporting it but its still not there and I"m not sure what to do to get it on my report.

*changed all the I's and my's to his. Its his account, not mine. lol

It always used to be this way for me as well. But lately some creditors have REALLY changed this up!

Unfortunately, it's so variable, it's hard to say exactly when reporting will occur.

However, once you've established your own pattern, it tends to be stable.

Got this from Cap 1 today:

Thanks for contacting us about your Capital One account.

We regret that your concerns were not previously addressed.

Your monthly billing statement closes on the 21st of each month.

After initial reporting, Capital One sends information on the status of
your account to the credit bureau agencies the day after the billing
cycle date.

The account’s credit data is reported to the four major credit bureaus
after each billing cycle. The credit bureaus decide how to use the
information reported to them, and each may use the information
differently.

Just

checked MPM - my recent payment was reflected in the balance posted to EX today FWIW (-200). My due date was 4/4 and the latest statement was issued 4/8 so I guess that is right - statement balance.

So for the last 7 months Barclays has been reporting the balance as of the last day of the month vs the statement balance. I'll be darned if they didn't report the statement balance this month. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm wondering could it be because I PC'd from the Apple to the Rewards card a few weeks ago?

That's weird, I've had my WM card for 3 years now and it has always reported statement balance a couple of days afterwards. Same with my WM Discover, well actually, every single GECRB card I have. Same with both of my Barclay's (SM & Priceline).

Out of all of the cards I have, I think my USB Cash+ is the ONLY one that reports mid-cycle. But then again, out of all the names on the list, USB is the only one I have that's not in ( ). :D

With me they report mid-cycle and at statement balance (2x/mo); I think it has to do with me having other GECRB cards and they just update them all at same time. 2 close around the 8th of the month the Walmart around the 24th. This may not be correct either as the 2 that close on the 8th never report a mid-cycle balance. A quirk is always possible.

Be careful, Amazon.com GECRB Amazon.com store card holders: Amazon.com reports mid-month! Even before you have a chance to pay it.

Joseph, can you do me a favor, and post the payment address for your Amazon store account in the mid-cycle thread?

This way, other members who receive this card can immediately set up push payments,

without having to call or wait for 1st statement.

A favor to ask those of you who have cards that report mid-cycle.

Can you post the payment address?

That way, new cardholders can set up push payments as soon as they receive their new cards.

e.g. Joseph's new Amazon store card payment address is:

GECRB/Amazon

PO Box 960013

Orlando, FL 32896-0013

The way I do push payment, especially important since you WON'T actually have a bill in front of you, is to

send a $1.00 test payment to make sure account number and issuer address match up.

Once that $1.00 is credited, then I'm comfortable sending bigger payments.

Or, you could send $0.01 if your FI allows it. ;)

My WF card reports statement balances a few days after the statement cuts. Amex charge card has always reported within a day or two of statement date.

Thank you all for the information on Amazon, mid-cycle billing, and the payment address. I was not aware GECRB did this and I'm happy to be aware of this now.

How many days different does it report?
