The Master Credit Cards that Report Mid-Cycle Midcycle or Before Statements Close Thread

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to get Citi to report mid-cycle?

I have a large balance that I paid off, and I'd like to see it reported earlier than a month from now.

Would changing the statement date work?

Found this... still searching

And this... apparently, you can update personal info online and trigger an update with BofA. I've successfully done this with Walmart. Read the thread... has more info (only 2 posts).

I'm not sure this still works with BofA. I tried it a while back and it didn't update.

IIRC BofA used to report mid-cycle after a CLI or any change in the account. However, after my last CLI there was no update.

I'll be interested to see if you can get it to work.

The CLI method seemed to stop working.

How long ago did you try it?

If you already tried it, I assume it stopped working.

Edit: in reference to updating your info, not the CLI

If you want your card to report $0 or $2, that's probably a good thing.

Thanks!

I'm apprehensive about going to visit that forum... so I'm glad you did it for me!

I'll try the first method you linked.

Citi will still update within a few days of a CLI (or if transferring credit).

Tested 2 weeks ago.

Those links were from a google search.

I don't intentionally visit that forum :P

The problem I ran into was that when I would use different forms of the words in my address, such as highway instead of HWY or South instead of S, it would automatically change back to the way it was originally.

Changing my phone number didn't trigger an update. I actually just rearranged the phone numbers they already had on file. Maybe I should have made up a phony phone number and tried that.

Wally reported mid-cycle on 7/1 (I just noticed). My statements normally close around the 21st. I did not request this, and of course I had a $215 balance at the time.

This was the first time I've used my Wally card in 10 months.

  • Capital One - Does not offer

  • Citi - They call it an Off Cycle Reporting. A supervisor said he would submit it to the Department and it would take up to 30 Days.

  • Discover - Any Rep can submit it. If I recall correctly it updated within a week.

  • FNBO - Does not offer

  • NFCU - Does not offer. - HUCA asked for a Supervisor she verified does not offer. But if you go over you CL they update immediately. She then said if you need a Mid Cycle update you can call the CRA and ask for a "Rapid Update" they can call NFCU to get real time information and update your report.

  • Synchrony - They call it an ECOA Form. I asked for a Supervisor then asked for her superior said it takes 10 - 20 days.

Could you update this thread and include previous information as well?

Yes.

*This will take a few days. Since I do not have accounts with these other banks the automated system is giving me the run around.

What small charge can I make to a chase card that will post immediately?

I just transferred credit, so I'd like to have the new high limit report ASAP, but the card currently has a $0 balance...

Another idea, would pushing a payment from the bank causing it go below $0 work as well?

Thanks!

I have tried various small transactions with multiple merchants to try to get them to post right away instead of the 2 - 5 day pending. The only thing that I have not tried and it might work is a small $5 pin based ATM (I usually find campus ATM's have low withdrawal limits) cash advance.
