So I was approved a biz card a week ago and thought wth, I'd like a personal card too. I was declined for not being a amex cardholder long enough. Today I received a message from the FR team. What do you think they will ask? You think my account is already frozen? Not to enthusiastic about calling back lol. Thanks

I'm not sure how it works with business cards, I guess they may ask for your financials. Or it may be as simple as providing them with bank statements.

If they handle business accounts anything like they handle some of the personal accounts, they probably have already frozen your accounts.

The F/R is really not that bad, it may just take about a week or so after they receive the requested documentation for them to give you their decision.

Good luck! :)

If you're being FR'd, then they'll ask for 1-2 years tax returns via direct pull from the IRS (4506T). Yes, your cards will be suspended until they finish the review. If all matches, you're good to go.

ETA: What type of biz...incorporated or Sole Prop? That'll affect what tax returns they ask for, etc...

They might put limit on your card if it's a charge card.

biz and personal...same thing in terms of a F/R..no difference. hard to say...might give a soft probe..bank statements. might give a full on probe..tax returns. outcome different...may close, may release...may impose a "hard limit".

And the OP might tell them to stick it. lol

They never even asked me for a FR. They just chopped my limits because they didn't like where I used their card.
