The Monster TransUnion Bumpage TU B* Master Thread

Recommended Posts

Yea I guess the only way to really know is to ask if a recon is needed...."how many inqs do you see?" lol ph34r.gif

Good idea. But I think I'll pass.

Also the vantage score hypothesis is still a possibility.

Yes. But if so I'd rather not help TU with marketing.

Yea, and I got to tell you - they are falling off even faster than hotcakes now all of a sudden. I already bumped 6 from October and November the first week of this month (no way to have 56/65 softs within 30 days unless another puller is working (using MPM, SCP, CK, USAA). Then i had another hard come in on 12/5/2012, with CK and SCP and MPM - that was gone on 12/6/2012...dntknw.gif And the hard from 12/5/2012 actually bumped my last November hard when it hit the report, it was gone before the alerts even came!...unsure.gif

well that's whacked b/c my Oct 22 TU from ELAN is still on my report even with 49 pulls with SCP and 11 qualifying "other softs" per the TU soft counter....wtf :swoon:

So nobody else is having B* issues on TU?

Maybe it will happen once SCP hits 56

Hey guys ... Bob,

I haven't emailed or posted in quite some time, I hope things are well. I have been working like a dog at the hospital of late. Was curious, I've been a daily puller. I cancelled it some time ago, and when I went back to join, the only ones I have are: Equifax, USAA, and Eliminate debt, ... I used to use the old trick site, but it appears they've shut that down? Anyway, this past month I got softs up to 80 and chopped, using 3 pullers. Do you happen to have a reliable 4th or 5th? We used to be able to login to the trick site and then cancel and renew, daily but as I metnioned that's been shut down.

Does anyone care to send me a 4th or 5th? I aprpeciate any help. Perhaps I've been gone long enough to where there's new news? Any cliff notes you guys care to share.

Thanks

Nothing really new, 4th puller is still AmEx Credit $ecure.

We should be looking at a slightly larger window this cycle,

*IF* Equifax doesn't pull a nasty before year's end.

Just noticed that poster may be an exception....he said he does not subscribe to any pullers..just uses CK? Could that be it? I've always been a firm believer that TU pullers should not be cancelled, as they will return without keeping many softs after the bumps.

Also - on my last hardcopy that just came yesterday - CK is starting to stick, all 4 for more than one day. It looks like they may only be cutting CK down to 1 on a weekly basis instead of at midnight each night. Could be why my last hard on 12/5 fell off on 12/6 after pulling everything.

So what exactly is this bad news? That b* still works for getting inquiries off your public report, but lenders can still see them?

I've bumped three in the last week. They seem to be staying gone, and they're not visible through the backdoor either.

Mine were not visible either through the back door for quite a while - but now they are. Maybe you have not yet been moved to the new server they are using apparently.

Well then, I guess I'll be apping EQ-pulling credit unions like mad, before they fix their poorly-designed, wonderful database too.

Right now I am using smart credit and amex credit secure. Is there any other good third one other than (MPM) By the way MPM is horrible. They could not even sign me up yet they will charge your credit card and not actually send you login information. I spoke to somebody a few weeks ago for 30 mins and my account was still never activated. That is some sort of weird organization. You get the feeling three people work there or something.

is *B* still working on TU? any updates?

Yes.

Works for me, but when you backdoor, there's no B*. Confusing.

Just B* off my last today! :yahoo:

I'd say the proof as to whether it is working is what effect TU B* is having on people's FICO score at TU.

Can anyone report positive effects in their score not attributable to other changes?

Using the B* counter this is what I am looking at. My question is that I have used USAA daily for most of the year. I am assuming that CreditExpert is USAA pulling. Why does it show only once a month? I am assuming that it means I got chopped but is there any rhyme or reason as to what is chopped or do they just chop stuff randomly?

I believe you're getting chopped each month, 1 from each month stays and you haven't been chopped yet for December. If you're trying to b* you'll need at least 3 daily pullers since you are on the c* list. Additionally, if I understand correctly, each of the ones that are remaining still count towards b*, so you'd need approx. 73 softs before you see b* (could be less depending on what other softs you have. With 3 daily pullers you should get your first b* on day 25. Best bet would be to figure out what your states c* date is and sign up for EQ Complete and EIDT (a few days in advance as setup takes 2-3 days).

Thanks for the help! That makes sense. I live in NC. Any idea when choppage will occur? Does choppage only affect soft inquries?
