Hard INQ's a bit higher now than I would like, but my B* days are done, so it is what it is.

I do not have any intentions to apply for anything until January, when I will close 1-2 Amexes and open 1-2 Amexes... so that should be one more EX INQ.

Current INQ count: EX 6, EQ 9, TU 5.

Why's that?? :dntknw:

Nothing really left to apply for (no more CLI's possible, no new lines needed for at least 18 months). So it isn't cost effective. FICO's are where I want them, lines are where I want them. Truthfully I only went through one round of B* on EQ on my whole credit journey.

Bravo! You know you could have 800+ FICO's across the board, but in my experience once you're 760+ the only thing that gets you is worthless bragging rights.

b* can get you a lot of traction with scores through 720. But above that, the merits weighed against the time, effort, and expense thin quickly.

Did an online CLI request with BOFA... was at 24k. Requested 45k, as that is my highest line with NFCU. I never use this card.

Logged in today (never spoke to anyone on the phone) and my CLI was approved in full for 45k. Wish I asked for more :)

F me sideways. Approaching 200k in available credit.

Would you believe less than 1.5 years ago I came here with 10k available credit completely maxed out?

Thanks CB

Awesome reporting of your success in this thread. I am so excited to follow in your footsteps....

Had my mom remove me from two AU accounts today that she uses regularly. Will hurt my AAOA but will also lower my util...

Ready to slowly make my fico score 100% mine

I plan on saying AU on all accounts she doesn't use

What does AAOA stand for?

Ended up going with Slate. Got a decent CL but would have loved more. Guess I'm happy with $12,000 for now although it was an odd limit. thanks for the info guys.

They gave me 3200. That's an even odder limit and low also. I'm going to call for a recon.

Great info what is a Recon if I may ask?

Recon = Reconsideration

Yep. It's basically when you call in to a credit underwriter (Someone who actually has decision making authority unlike the frontline CSR's) and ask for your application denial to be reconsidered for approval.

Here is some more info on acronyms

Taking advantage of Amex D*.

Closed my Amex Blue Sky card yesterday with a $9900 limit. Applied for a Amex Everyday card today and was instantly approved but for only $5,000. Lost $4900 in TL's, but gained a new TL opened on 1/2000 in the process which is way more worth it.

I plan on doing this yearly, one at a time :)

I am also emailing amex to see if they will match the 9,900$.

Why didn't you move the limit before closing it?

I was pretty sure I am at max exposure with Amex - so I figured if I moved the limit I would have gotten denied on the new card... maybe I am mistaken on how Amex works. It's really not that big of a deal - I sent an email- maybe they will match it. If not, oh well.
