I hit it. They called me and left a message wanting more information beyond what I had given them. I don't like getting the third degree, so I haven't called back.

Got a letter declining my cli request due to "high amount of credit available from other accounts."

Lame.

I did the CLI on my Bank Atlantic business card. I got the same exact message, hard free though.

I think we previously determined Juny is bi-polar. They cut my 2 lines from 5 figures to 1300 each about a yr ago - maybe longer. I rewarded them by closing one card and not using the other. No auto-CLI yet and i refuse to waste an inq. DH had one card with a 15K limit and one with 12.5K. He put a total of 21K on the 12.5 over a period of 3 months, paying off the early purchases and carrying part of the last 12.4K for the last 6 months. They rewarded him in Feb with a 3K CLI and another 2K this week. The 15K card is untouched (and rarely used) - i actually checked to see if the CLD it for the CLI on card #2.

I actually got the same message. I checked online the next day and my limit was already changed.

Same here. Hard pull on TU - checked about 6 hours later, credit limit was quadrupled. Was at 3K - asked for 12K more, they gave me 12K total. Not too shabby for a TU pull. Thanks OP!

Barclay could not make HP(all 4 frozen) and declined my request. Card closed.

Just hit the button, got a $1650 CLI bringing my limit to 5k. Now I wish I had asked for more.

I've had a Carnival and a US Airways card with Juniper for 5 years. I have a perfect payment history on both cards, but have been in trouble with them as far as utilization...WAY over my small $500 limit due to interest and fees. both cards are now sitting at less than 5% now tho.

what do you think my chances are?

gave it a try and was declined. they told me that while my credit was good, they would like to see more responsible handling of my accounts with them for 6 mos or so and try back then. they were very cool about it.

additionally, as a side note FYI, when I asked for my FICO score (they pulled TU), it was the exact same score as reported on myFICO.com (684 at the time).

Did you call the credit analyst department at 866-408-4064?

yep, sure did. I first called about the increase. spoke to a young dude that was very cool. then I called back today because I forgot to ask for my FICO score. spoke with a lady who was also very nice and gave me the score. I was actually expecting a different number, but coincidence or not (you be the judge), it was exactly the same as myFICO.

EDIT: I am in VA by the way

I got the 7-10 day msg as well, but logged on today and increased to 7k as per request. They have been decent to me as well. Went from original 1300 to 2300 then 3300 and now at 7k. Almost wished I had asked for more, but awhile back they tried to CLD me when a baddy was added to my reports. I spoke with a rep and explained the collection account and they reconsidered. How soon can I ask for another increase without rocking the boat? BTW, they pulled TU for me as well.

Barclay's has been MORE than fair with my Priceline card. Opened 3/2010, started with $3,000 CL

9/2010 - $1000 CLI, $4000 CL

3/2011 - $1000 CLI, $5000 CL

5/2011 - $1800 CLI, $6800 CL

All but the last one were automatic. The last one was so I could do a BT. I called in, asked for $1300, they did $1800.

I'm loving Barclays, just wondering if maybe I want to PC to a different card, I don't necessarily use Priceline as much as I should. (Though, the Shatner card alone might be worth leaving it a Priceline card).

I have a thread about this elsewhere, but I've had great luck w/ them as well on my Barclays Priceline:

1/11 - Opened at 2k

4/11 - CLI to 4k

7/11 - CLI to 6k

(I've waited for 3 statement cuts to happen each time. And i've been putting a LOT thru this card: I've had to pay mid-month and I never revolve a balance)

I have 2 cards - Spirit MC (being changed to Plat MC) and a US Air MC. Limit on both is 2k. Requested CLI on Spirit card last month, they didn't do a hard pull, but was denied due to 'high amount of avail credit on other Accts.' Not to be deterred, I called for a recon, and was told that I don't use the card enough. It is 2 yes old, no CLI's I that time.

Since it wasn't a hard pull, I went ahead and requested a CLI for the US Air card, maybe 3 wks ago. I use this card more, but still PIF each month. The pulled a hard, and denied me for the same reason as the above.

I went online yesterday to pay the US Air card, and saw that they had given me a CLI to 3200. So what gives? Apparently, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, because when I got home today, there was a letter in the mail saying " It has come to our attention that you may have received a letter denying your request for a CLI for your accounts. This is to inform you that the letter was SENT IN ERROR. Your CLI has been approved, and your new limit is now reflected on your account."

I should have requested more than a 1200 CLI, but they seem too conservative for that. When I originally got the US Air, the limit was 4k. Then I aped for Spirit, but they would only approve it if I split the original 4k cred line from US Air, into 2k on each card.
