I feel like accelerating the AU program to see when I hit the wall next.

I just need some volunteers who are willing to go through F/R for the POSSIBLE benefit of backdating. :D

I would if I could - sorry!

I know you'd volunteer for this suicide mission if you could, jds. :P

Seriously, where's the sign up list? I'd push old ladies and clowns out of the way to be one of the first to sign up for an '82 backdate. Sweet, the year I was born.

I really keep my AmExes more for the benefit of my AUs, than for myself.

Now, I REALLY don't care what AmEx thinks of me. :P

I say this completely objectively, since mmm and I are pretty much graduated (hopefully) but do you think adding more AUs might hurt your current AUs chances of getting backdated?

(hides from potential AUs)

With AmEx, you never know what they are thinking. But unless they explicitly told him not to add any more AUs, I do not think adding more will have a negative impact on backdating or otherwise.

I get the feeling they should not have pushed BW. I think he is really going show out now!!

h

I just tried to add someone on AmEx's blacklist to my Platinum.

No luck. :(

Because of the blacklist or have them restricted you also?

No, because of the blacklist.

The rep was very happy to take all the info, and informed me that there is a $175 annual fee.

When she pulled the CBer's report, AU status was denied.

I know it was denied because when it is approved, AmEx tells me I'll receive the card in a week.

When it's denied they tell me I'll receive a letter in a week.

And just think I threw away my sign that said: Will work for AMEX backdating.

I am always a day late and .50 short...

Well I'm always willing to take part in experiments that can better the credit community....Did that sound corny enough...lol

If you have limited availability I vote JaseT I am interested to see if he can get his current cards backdated.

So If I wanted a platinum card would it be best to be an AU on platinum or does it not matter?

I don't think it matters.

As long as you haven't burned AmEx, it's pretty much show your $450, and you're in. :D

Bob do any of your AUs have BKs that ARE reporting? Obviously they haven't burned Amex, but I'm curious if a BK would prevent AU much like it does with regular apps.
