Yes, it's just business...

and less of mine. :P

How high up the chain have you worked? If I gave them that kind of business and they suspended my cards for 4 days (really at all, but especially for days on end), I'd be working my way up the chain until I got some answers.

I understand that you're not using them much at the moment, but that's not really the point.

I'm not going to escalate this.

If they cancel my cards because I can't fill out a 4506-T correctly, so be it.

I can't trust my AmExes any more. :(

I'm assuming they're your biggest 'holding', right? Who is next in line if Amex doesn't work out?

It'll be ok. You just got too close to Courtney Love AU numbers for their comfort! :P

Yeah, but it sure is getting annoying. :D

I'm sure it is, but be patient...as in the exact opposite of me. :P

Oops, AmEx called to tell me I forgot to put down NAME and address on line 3.

I am only given TWO chances to get the 4506-T correct.

If I mess up this time, all my cards will be cancelled.

I may just cancel all of them any way.

Really!? Did they really say that? :o

If their primary objective is to gather the needed information to determine if they have a reason to be concerned about any potential financial exposure, for them to say that you have only TWO chances seems absurd!

There will be lots of authorized users begging you not to cancel.

Thanks, but I don't qualify, I've transferred a few times to my Delta account already. :(

I should hope not. Bob needs to do what is best for him, not what is best for others that he has already been quite generous to.

You have to understand that this is a low-level operative.

That probably *IS* the rule at AmEx, and I'm sure exceptions can be made.

BUT, the thought of getting brand new AmExes has a certain appeal. :D

No problem. How about a nice 30% bonus instead?

http://www.delta.com/pet/mrgetaway/pet/main

GET AWARD TRAVEL FASTER WITH A 30% BONUS ON MEMBERSHIP REWARDS POINTS TRANSFERS.

If you have Membership Rewards® points from American Express, you can enjoy all that you’ve earned with a 30% mileage bonus. First, register for this promotion, then transfer points into miles now through March 31, 2011, and enjoy an additional 30% mileage bonus. There’s no limit to the number of points you may transfer into miles.

The extra 30% mileage bonus can get you even closer to Award Travel. In fact, you can earn an Award Ticket with as few as 25,000 miles. Plus, you no longer have to pay a redemption fee when you book an Award Ticket within 20 days of departure.

These also may be helpful to other CB'ers.

 Bob I thought skymiles were always good even with card closure or cancelation as long as the bill is paid?

I think there have been people who have lost their AmEx Membership Rewards points.

I really don't want to have to sic my lawyer on AmEx in case they try to pull something fast.

The paranoid type that I am, I wonder if there is a bounty or bonus for reps who repossess large chunks of MR points.

:offtopic: JUST how many flights is that?! o.O

Depends on whether you want to sit in first class or coach on your round trip to the moon.
