Hm for TU you can pull creditkarma which is good for one soft no matter how many times you pull it... and someone suggested signing up for some free insurance quotes to get some more, if you can handle the sales call you'd probably get... but I really think the only ones on that list that cancel each other out for TU are the things Bob mentioned in the post that I quoted above. I don't remember any more ever being mentioned like that, but I could be wrong of course. I'm tempted to sign up for one more just to try for B* right now.. that should be all I need and the last one is always hardest to wait for..

1. Regarding GoFreeCredit.com, I did a couple of simple Google searches to find out more about them and came across this:

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/credi...freecredit.html

DO NOT USE THEM...All these posts above are fake as well as the site. It's a scam site...You enter in all your information and they use it to access your accounts.

They even have some fake sites for search engines set up to make them look like they are real. It's a pretty elaborate scheme they have going.

Not sure if it's true or not but wanted to bring this up for the benefit of anyone looking to sign up for trials.

2. If I sign up for 3 TU-based pullers (e.g. MPM through EIDT, IDPNC, MKC), will 3 distinct softs appear on my EQ report (for that one day of course).

Thanks!

I would do Experian based trials on different days in case you run into the CCT/USAA over-writing problem.

TU shouldn't do that, but still safer to do the trials on different days.

hmmm.. INS companies.. not a bad thought!

Even though I accidentally transposed a couple of numbers in the phone number I entered, I've gotten a half dozen or more emails from ins companies. I've no clue if any even did a soft on my report, but today being Wednesday and my last TU inq being due to fall off WITHOUT ins softs on Saturday, I'd have to think that I didn't get a single soft from the ins quote thing, otherwise that last inq might well be gone by now. I guess i'll wait and see but I wish I'd listened to my gut on this one and just not bothered..

For the TrueCredit resellers like MyPrivacyMatters and PrivacyMatters123, do they overwrite each other if you start the trial on same date?

Not on Equifax, I don't think so.

But, I would still do them on different days just to be safe.

Yes, I think BofA's service does leave a soft that counts on Equifax.

I'm pretty sure all of these are good for at least one soft on Equifax.

I just confirmed that BOA leaves a soft. It also leaves a prefixed soft as Intersections. The non prefixed one counts. But there's an error in JDS' automatic counter, it's not counting the non prefixed.

I'd ask for your money back from jds. :P

BMW, could you add BOA's and any other additional links to post #1?

is this the one BTD? https://privacyassist.bankofamerica.com/Pag..._Activation.asp

BDK:

I can't edit my posts after a certain period of time, so post #1 will have to stand as is.

Yes, that is the correct program.

I guess I didn't include PrivacyAssist because I didn't see a free, or low price trial.

Bob
