Ok, sure.

By the way, I suggested awhile back that Credit Karma wasn't overwriting itself like Bob said it tends to - I was sort of wrong. It seems to always leave two inqs.. not one, but not one per day either. Odd.

I am guessing that today you pulled Credit Karma before you got your TU report? If so, I think there will be only one entry tomorrow.

Thus Spake The Albert Einstein of TransUnion Bumpage.

Yes. I have a habit of pulling CK first every morning. I shall grab TU first tomorrow, before anything else. How early is too early? I usually settle in here at 530am EST and begin resisting the urge to pull everything at once right then.

UPDATE:

[me] via KARMA/TRANSUNION INTERAC - reduced to one before my daily CK pull. Sits at 2 until nightly maintenance. After reduction, only the first CK pull of the month remains - subsequently dated pulls are reduced.

BEFORE BED LAST NIGHT - two CK entries:

TUsofts216.jpg

UPON WAKING, PRIOR TO PULLING CK FOR THE DAY - on CK entry left, the earliest one:

tusofts218.jpg

As you can see, the CK pull that fell between TU Interactive and CIC.com is the one that remained.

cm2010 is right on with this one!

Ok. Here is mine. I count 29 (MPM=7 & CCT=22). Is the count correct, or am I missing others. Thanks!

EQ-Inquiry-1.jpg

Add 4 to your total for 33

CIC/EXPERIAN ALRTS = 1

FAIR ISAAC = 2

FAIR ISSAC = 1 (May be 0, since this is a 12/26/09 duplicate)

TRUECREDIT/COVERDELL MY = 1

Here is my TU. I pull CCT & MPM. I count 30. Am I correct?

You will only see 1 or 2 MPMs.

Only the oldest one is retained after nightly clean-up by TransUnion, you may see another one if you pull MPM before TU.

CONSUMERINFO via CONSUMER INFO.COM = 30

CONSUMERINFO.COM (KARMAN) = 13

CONSUMERINFO.COM (KARMEN) = 8

via TRANSUNION INTERACTIVE I = 1

BANK OF AMERICAN HOME via COUNTRYWIDE = 2

COUNTRYWIDE LOAN SRV via COUNTRYWIDE = 2

The last 4 I'm not sure about, but you should be at 52-56, so you'll be able to tell in 14 more pulls or so.

Wait, when does FAIR ISAAC count as more than one? as long as its a different day?

Fair Issac may even count separately on the SAME day.

Paying myFICO for Equifax scores is an expensive way to hit the magic 85.

If one is very close to being chopped.

I may even have to test that theory.

Nice, but as we know, myfico.com only lets you pull from EQ (or from TU) once every 24 hours. It's sorta like MPM in that respect. I'm not sure why some get a duplicate pull on the same day, unless it's an identity request or similar before completing the score pull.

I paid about 6 times last month to finish off my last two hard inqs on EQ by the 22nd. It was worth it to me to get them out of the way, since I was down to 2 daily pullers, and needed some of the MCK softs in the total to reach 85 and B* before they went poof. Though they waited till 2/1 to C*, I still am glad I paid. YMMV. Incidentally, EQ C*'d every one but the last of those Fair Isaac softs on 2/1.

Uh oh. I just checked and I signed up for CCT on 1/27 and got an alert from them on 1/31... but the only day I see CCT on there from January is 1/27 (and the alert on 1/28). And I signed up for ScoreWatch on 1/29... I cannot seriously be getting chopped from month 1. I have to hope that I'm interpreting things wrong here.

Hm... interesting. I'd suggest always clearing your cookies before trying something like that. It just might help keep them unique. I like to set every credit related site except this one to clear cookies on close... but I could be wrong about it being any benefit. Haven't tested the theory yet.

I would not be surprised if you're now being C*'d, primarily because you now have multiple daily monitoring soft inqs on your EQ report. Did you pull CCT on 1/28-31st? If so, looks like you've been C*'d. :D

So TU "cleans up" MPM pulls, but it's not actually C*?

This is so damn confusing!

I didn't. I didn't figure out how to pull daily until about ten days into my subscription.. the "order new report" link just suddenly appeared one day!

Ah ok. This was your first CCT subscription, so you were in the 7 day trial of only 1 pull till day 8, then daily thereafter. I renewed CCT two or three times in the past couple years, and could pull from day one with each renewal (and was charged from day one!). Well, hopefully, you're not being C*'d then.

You may be out perfect experiment: If you don't get C*'d on the next round (whenever that occurs) later this month or in March, then perhaps EQ is not searching for and C*ing people with multiple daily pullers. If you do get C*'d the next round, then we may have some more research data to compare against what we know. Sorry I'm making it sound like you're a guinea pig, but do keep us posted! ;)

It's more like extreme C*....only one (maybe two) pulls remain for any given length of time on one's TU report. They're deleting/overwriting the prior MPM soft inq entry with each subsequent MPM pull from what I see.

Edit to add: This only occurs on TU; not EQ (so far). Let's hope it stays that way.

OK - question that I have no answer to...

How can I see my softs without triggering the C* trigger and pulling an EQ backdoor?

If someone is already being C*'d and they know it, then they can look as often as they like and it won't make C* "worse" per se. If you're not being C*'d or are not sure, then I'd hold off utilizing ANY EQ-direct product or checking the back door until you've reached 85+ pulls and you know you should probably be getting B* on an old hard inq on your report but aren't seeing it. Just saying don't wake the sleeping EQ beast if unnecessary.

Can't you call and order a paper report? That wouldn't result in C*, right?

There is speculation that ordering a paper copy might actually provoke Equifax to REALLY chop EVERYTHING to reduce printing costs.
