Thank you Jen. for the wonderful resource.

Sticked up top, link added to the newbies section.

I'm definitely going to work off of this list. This is my first day here and hope to make it a success!

WOW. Thank you for this thread. I have been bouncing around these boards, reading this and that, for a week now and now, finally, thanks to this tread, it's all coming clear to me! I am very exited to get started on journey here..

Thanks so much for this information... I am creating a notebook as suggested. All the calls I get are for Zombie Debts or stuff out of SOL while I was awaiting my SSDI approval. I did receive my SSDI award back in December 2006, and I am trying to rebuild my FICO score.

WOW!!! This is all I can say, WOW.

Lots of great info but honestly, Credit Repair just got 10 times more complicated for me. I'm not sure if I'm going to have the patience or the organization to pull this off.

sure you will. bite off small pieces, and just tackle even one account at a time.

or, at a minimum, work on utilization and not adding to your problems (staying current, etc).

Dont' do this! (biggest mistakes in credit repair)

A question for the above advise, why not: "Don't add 100 word statements to your credit files."

Also, why not sign letters?

Never sign letters to CAs or JDBs because they are mostly shady creatures and could transpose your signature to a different document.

I have send my debt validation letters I got 3 collection accounts taken off for a total of 3K. What is my next step for the collection agencies that did not respond to my request?

See if this might work for your situation. And start your own thread soon, because this thread disappears after your've read it, and doesn't show up again until someone else posts something here. ;)
