Everybody having a nice holiday?

Card didn't come today. :offtopic:

I phoned TD Visa and got a really nice lady who seemed to know what she was talking about. She reminded me that this is a chip card and requires more time. All the CSRs were instructed a couple days ago to start telling customers that it will now typically take 15-20 business days until customers receive their cards. I guess the manufacturer is swamped due to the chip cards starting to be released in full force by most, if not all, issuers.

She told me she could re-order it now, and change the number. All I had to do was ask. I told her I'm concerned it's sitting the snowbank behind the super-mailbox. But she assured me that they didn't process my upgrade until the 14th, which is exactly a week after I called and was told I qualified. She could not explain why there was a delay of one week, but it has been only 11 business days since they sent in the order to the card manufacturer.

She told me that if I don't have it by next Friday then they will trace it...somehow.

Well, I got it today. Matter of fact I got BOTH cards today. The Gold Elite AND the US$ Visa.

Both cards are simply gorgeous.

I have to go to TD today to change the PIN on the Gold Elite. By default it's the same as my debit card...and I don't like that. They don't let you do it at the machine, so I have to go to the customer service counter.

I'm glad that's over with.
