I have had my digital camera for about 2 years, but for the past 6+ months i the batteries die after about 2 pictures are taken. I have tried all kinds of batteries, good, rechargeable etc. When I first put them in the battery range is FULL but within one or 2 minutes of being on it starts blinking the batteries are low and dies.

Any clues??

Thanks

I assume there is a LCD screen on the back of the camera. If you turn it off, how long do the batteries last? I find that using the screen drains the battery quickly. So much so that I don't even use my screen anymore, only if I want to scroll thru the pics I took.

Also, you might want to try taking the memory card out and reinserting it. My daughter had a somewhat similar problem happen to her. She dropped her camera in the driveway and it would only stay powered on for about 10 or 20 seconds before powering off. I was just fiddling with it when I pulled out the memory card, put it back in, and it has worked fine ever since. Go figure.

Lithium batteries are great for a digital camera. They last FOREVER. I'm still on my first set of lithium AA's that I put in a year and half ago. I use my small Canon P&S camera once a week at work when I have to take 20 or 30 photos or so, and they're still going strong. Before that I was putting in Duracells/Energizers every couple months. Those Energizer Lithiums are worth every penny.
