Auto insurance - Is there a site that will shop multiple companies but only pull a softie against my report?

Does anyone know what companies pull from what bureaus? I have a good EX but bad EQ TR. Amfam is using EQ and the rate is killing me. Old with no tickets.

Based on the other thread...no tickets but a bunch of claims payouts PLUS a suit against the carrier.

There was some company advertising the other day about doing comparisons amongst a number of carriers.  Zebra or something similar.  I was not paying much attention since I am content with the two carriers I have (one for the regular vehicles and one for a few of the specialty vehicles).  I've never heard of your current carrier, so I have no idea if they are crappy like the gecko or Flo or the one that Shaq shills for.

Also ensure that your underwriter is aware of all of the issues that might entitle you to discounts, to include college degree or short drives to work.  Play with coverages if you have multiple vehicles.  If you have one you don't drive often, then keep a comprehensive coverage while it is garaged but ditch the collision and liability (which would not typically be required if you were not driving it).  Some carriers have other discounts that may come into play if you bundle other coverages, whether home or rental policies or an umbrella liability policy.

Of course the vehicle itself is a variable that has to be accounted for...some new vehicles on the market don't have the loss experiences in the first year or two.  The F-Type was cheap at first...then they realized just how much the cars cost to fix once they gained some loss underwriting experiences.  As I recall, the Fiat 124 (the platform share with the Miata) also was in the same boat but for a different reason...
