Former WAMU HRC card now available from Bank of America

Recommended Posts

For anyone who had the WAMU Human Rights Campaign card and had it taken away after WAMU went under the card is now offered at Bank of America.

In order to get the card you have to go to www.newcardonline.com and enter priority code UAAS9Q. You can also call 866-438-6292.

I got this information out of the latest HRC magazine that came in the mail.

The card has a new look and is now a *visa signature* card. Benefits are:

*Lost luggage coverage

*Ultimate Access and WorldPoints rewards

*Low intro APR

*No Annual fee

And of course the other visa signature benefits.

It appears as if HRC gets both a finder's fee and maybe more importantly a residual of every purchase as well if their cause is important to you.

Has anyone got this new HRC card?

The Providian (subsequently WaMu) HRC Visa was my first major rebuilder in 2005 and had sentimental value.

But my credit has improved ... and this BofA version looks lame. You don't read much on CB about BofA's World Points program because it's pretty much agreed that it's lousy.

For anyone who has the new card .... Is there any upside to this card, other than the obvious contribution to the HRC?
