Shawnee, what do you see as special about Addison? I just check out its rates and nothing caught my eye. Did I miss something?

High limits on credit cards. As I recall their deposit rates weren't so hot.

CP shows $500 to $50,000. I wonder if the latter is Trevor

IIRC Trevor did get the max out of them, a lot of other people have also done well. At this point I want to try to avoid any more sub $10k accounts.

the "fifth" CRA tracks inquiries only.

one more reason "disputing" inqs off of your reports from the four major CRAs is a waste of energy.

+100,000,000

THEREFORE BY ASSOCIATION..."B" IS ALSO A WASTE OF ENERGY"

(even though it ACTUALLY takes very little energy)

what card(s) are you thinking about applying for once your hiatus is over?

Question not really directed at me, but I'm gonna chime in anyway. :)

Penfed - as soon as the once-every-two-years sandstorm blows away my middle-eastern housing.

Citi Forward - the rewards would be useful for me, esp. in conjunction with DE and Penfed - and cover most of my bases. The Forward (already use Shop Discover online at B&N) would serve my bricks and mortar bookish tendencies, and Amazon, to boot!

I requested my report from them, jesus they wanted everything under the sun. They were trying to push for A SSN card, utility Bill and a pay stub. I said screw you, you have my drivers license thats all ya need, now send me my darn report or i am calling the FTC and US attorney generals office. They finally backed down and said, oooh my apologies, thats enough information for us.

Shawnee,

there is a grace period provision related to the 21 day billing statement. It seems this new law will give a huge incentive for issuers to simply get rid of grace periods. If one major issuer does, like a CITI, I bet the rest of the pack does.

Another reason to stick with CUs.

I saw that. Another reason I'm done with the major banks.
