Applied to Chase on 5/21 and still no reply on the online status page, so I called and got the rep to review and approve it over the phone in 5 minutes:

Chase: How much do you want?

Me: How about $15,000 or so?

Chase: Okay. Expect your card in 7-10 days. Have a good one.

Me: Thanks. You too.

Any details about how to contact " State Farm Bank "? Is this somehow related to State Farm Insurance?

I am interested in your $4500 CC, as my TU report is very clean, has nearly identical numbers, and yet probably differs in the utilization. Mine is terrible, as I am paying for a home renovation ih Credit lines, not HELOC. Just bought the place, no equity to use for renovation.

Amazing. The world is changing! When I first saw your entry with State Farm Bank VISA on it, I thought surely it could not be good old State Farm Insurance. But it sure is! I was so shocked to see State Farm's name associated with a credit card I did not even do the logical thing of checking the insurance web site. I am learning new things every day.

I heard a rumor that AAA is also offering a credit card as well. My own insurance company, Farmer's, likely won't be offering credit cards anytime soon, but who knows?

Stranger things have happened.

STATE FARM VISA GAVE BIRTH TO THE "TOY" CARD

80% LOWER CREDIT LIMIT THAN MY LOWEST CREDIT LIMIT

WE WON'T EVEN MENTION THE NON EXISTANT BT

George:

It sounds like you don't like State Farm for a couple of reasons:

Won't do a BT at all

Lower credit limits than the normal for our George

Any positives for the State Farm VISA?

CLOSED IT BEFORE I USED IT...$1,000????

They didn't even ask WHY...

SO I TOLD THEM "IF" THEY WANT TO KNOW...IT IS BACAUSE OF THE JOKE OF A CREDIT LIMIT!!! I SPEND MORE THAN $1,000 IN ONE WEEK SOMETIMES SO IT JUST WON'T WORK!!!

They did fix their ERROR IN JUDGEMENT $1,000 to $5,000...but I had to close it for the final time when they decided they didn't offer me a BT at like 3.9% percent...

SO I PAID OFF LIKE 5.90% to 7.99% WITH 11.90% MONEY

They NEVER said that the BT was not 3.90% or that it would be 11.90% or what-ever rate it was...

Another weird thing was they REFUSED to do EFT and REFUSED to send checks to me...

THEY DON'T DO IT THAT WAY..."WE SEND A CHECK ON YOUR BEHALF FROM ONE OF OUR OFFICES"

I know everyone may have their own opinion which CCs are best for their own personal use;

I selected State Farm Plat. Visa due to that I've been with their company over 18 years

I have 2 SUV's & HomeOwners with State Farm and I have no complaints

With this Visa I do have B/T options & the APR okay with me

My last round of applications were in 2002, and so far I've got: Discover $6k, Chase $2300, CitiAAdvantage $3000, Washington Mutual $2800, Providian $1500, Macys $900, Chevron $1500, Bestbuy $3000, JCPenney $300, Shell $300, Sears $670.

Year 2003 was quiet for me.

This year, I've applied for the following:

Name of institution: Mortgage from Lime Financial Services (loan recently transferred to Countrywide)

Approved/denied: Approved

Date: 04/04

Loan amount: $225,000 (home is now worth $290k and climbing!)

Term: 3/27 at 6.75%, put 10% down

Score: mid FICO 644

CRA(s) pulled: all 3

State: NV

Name of institution: Wells Fargo Auto Financing

Approved/denied: Approved

Score: FICO 620

Term: 72 months at 12.9% (I know, I know, this is dumb - but the 2004 Toyota Sienna LE 8 passenger is SOO damn yummy! I'll just wait the 18 month mark and refi)

CRA(s) pulled: EQ

State: NV

Name of institution: Patelco Credit Union

Approved/denied: Approved

Score: FICO 620

Credit limit: $5000 Visa and $6000 Mastercard

CRA(s) pulled: EX

State: NV

Comments: Had to fax over pay stubs

Name of institution: Home Depot

Approved/denied: Approved

Score: FICO 620

Credit limit: $500

CRA(s) pulled: EX

State: NV

Comments: Had to fax identifying docs since I had a split file with EX and they first couldn't verify my identity.

Name of institution: Office Max

Approved/denied: Approved

Score: FICO 620

Credit limit: $500

CRA(s) pulled: EX

State: NV

Comments: Had to fax identifying docs since I had a split file with EX and they first couldn't verify my identity.

Name of institution: Target Guest Card

Approved/denied: Approved

Score: FICO 620

Credit limit: $200

CRA(s) pulled: EX

State: NV

Comments: Didn't get instant online approval, but got card in mail.

Name of institution: Citi Home Rebate Card

Approved/denied: Declined

Score: FICO 670

Credit limit: N/A

CRA(s) pulled: TU

State: NV

Comments: They declined me for "too many inquiries". I had about 7 inqs on my TU from lenders when I was home shopping. They didn't allow transfer of my Citi AAdvantage card to the Citi Home Rebate card either.

I think I'll stop here with my application spree for 2004.

And, yes, I've put all these on creditpulls groups, Marv :)

BofA and MNBA

Pulled - TU

Denied both.

Reason - too many recently open accounts and too many inquires in the last five months.

TU score - 670ish(as of two days ago)

Ok this REALLY tells me my card shopping spree is OVER!

Can I just say I hate living in TU land? Why oh why can't they pull EQ?

:pout:
