Today, I've got a letter from Collection Agency named I.C. SYSTEM INC 444 Highway 96 East PO Box 64437 St.Paul, MN 55164

For a Verizon home phone bill $189.74

I know I owe some money but not sure how did they get to this amount.'

What should I DO? Whats the next step?

"Your delinquent account has been turn to this collection agency. the balance showing above is the amount due as of the date of this letter. This amount may chance due to interest and other charges that may be added to the account after the date of this letter".

Tear off the bottom portion of this letter and return it with your payment".

We are a debt collector attempting to collect ....

Well ok I was going to say this would be under the UCC (4yrs) however 5 months still has it within SOL.

Either way I would proceed with a DV... At least to get an accounting of the alleged debt and the amount.

But as Jack asked was there a miranda on the letter?
