Got a bill I shouldn't have gotten and can't get anyone on the phone.

I went to a new doctor who accepts both Medicare and Medicaid. I never have medical bills for things like that and I was under the impression it covered everything. I received a bill and I've called the number on it and I just keep getting voicemail. I've left messages and they still haven't returned any of my calls. There's nobody to talk to there, there's a main receptionist that just keeps transfering to the voice mail.

So I've called the doctor's office, and they tell me they "don't know" and "can't do anything" an I have to call the billing company...who won't return my calls.

I'm thinking that maybe it just went to Medicare and the Doctor's Office didn't do it right and have the rest go to Medicaid? The bill doesn't even say either way. It just says my balance is $500 and I hve to make a payment of $290. But on the back of the bill it has an option to put in your insurance and any "changes", should I try just sending the bill back with "medicare" and "medicaid" listed and hope they bill them?

I don't know what I am supposed to do since I can't get anyone on the phone. At this rate, the bill will probably just become "overdue" and rack up interest charges and collection notices.
