I would really appreciate some advice in my situation....

I am a relatively doc in the healthcare industry and have a great opportunity to open a practice. We moved to this state 8 months ago for my spouse's job. I was waiting on a job at the hospital to come through over the past year and have basically spent all of our savings and utilized all of our credit cards (I know bad situation but couldn't do much about it). It just hasn't worked out and I can't keep waiting. I am being offered a free office and lots of work in another physician's office so it's a no brainer to open up my own practice in some respects. No overhead! However, I don't have the cash or credit right now. Due to utlization, my scores have crashed about 65 points (I haven't pulled a score recently but the FAKO TU from the credit card company says 650). I've already been turned down for AMEX Blue recently. It wouldn't take too much to get started - few thousand - but I don't even have that. Any suggestions? I already have a Prosper loan out for the move here. Yes, I am so over my head but there is a strong light at the end of the tunnel here.. just have to get there. Suggestions anyone? Credit cards to try?? I do have some very old delinquencies from college years (5 years ago). Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Welcome to CreditBoards! We hope that you find what you're looking for here. Some helpful tips:

  • Your post may not get a reply right away. Don't be discouraged, this is a very busy board. If it falls off of the first page, feel free to reply to your post yourself, with the word "bump" in the text. This will *bump* your post back up to the top of the board.
  • If you haven't yet, take a peek at out Newbies Section. Everything that you need to know is in that forum, for the most part! It's a lot of reading, we know, but this credit stuff can have a steep learning curve. In no time, you'll be posting like the pros!
  • If you find that someone is discourteous to you, use the REPORT button at the bottom of every post - that will ensure that a moderator or admin looks at the post and decides if it is against the TOS.
  • Off -topic posts should go in the General Forum.

Again, welcome to the CreditBoards family! CB Admin: LKH, Pam, radi8, breezeCB Mods:CB Mods: cotterpin, CargoJon, CramitCCCA's, fla-tan, MarvBear, psp, pryan67Forum Leads:TeeSharice, Orangecrush, four20nik, Neen, and DallasLoanGuy
