Has anyone here tried Card Match from creditcards.com lately? The link has been repositioned to the bottom of the Web site, and the offers I see aren't even with considering. I checked a few days ago and only had offers for two cards each from Capital One and First PREMIER.

From the looks of it, it's more of a lead generation thing.

I've used this dozens of times. They do a SP and show you actual offers. They used to serve up some sign-up bonus offers on prime cards that were difficult to find elsewhere.

Over the past couple of years the offers have been dwindling... it's probably more lucrative to push cards through affiliate links than it is to pay a credit bureau for softies. The average consumer doesn't understand why a card is being recommended to him or her anyway.

I just tried it it showed 4 Chase cards for me and first premier whole line up.

I never get anything but FP when I try their selector. Probably due to my BK.

Wow, these matches are spot on for me. Even though I've got 20+ new accounts in the last 24 months (not that they look at that) they matched me with

Chase Sapphire Preferred

Freedom

Freedom Unlimited

Slate

and...

First Premier Classic

FP Gold

FP MC

Haha, uh...yeah.

just tried it, prequalified only for every core Crap1 card (though at lower interest rates than my current QS VS). There were other cards on the list but not prequalified.

Site doesn't seem all that helpful.

Just did the home depot pre qualifier, I got approved for a $500 limit. I'll take it. In the last week or so I also got $2000 best buy visa, $800 walmart and $500 amazon visa. Fico score 645 vanatage 658. Good luck to all.

I agree. All I ever get are the Chase and First Premier offers. And until tomorrow, I am over 5/24, so the Chase prequals are as meaningless as the First Premiers. Also, my scores are in the 780's and I did it with a friend who has scores in the 680's and our card offers were exactly the same. Seems this is more about lead generation and fooling people into applying than actual prequalification.

Something definitely changed. It had been showing me Cap1 and FP. Today it brought back the 4 Chase cards and no Cap1 or FP.

I wish I knew if it was really the result of a soft pull. The only report changes since the last time I tried it are that 8 negs dropped off of EQ. TU was already clean and EX has 2 zero balance CO's due to drop off in Jan.

That site has always been glitchy for me. It always comes back with "Can not find your credit profile". Which is strange because I've had a creditcard.com account for a couple of years and they can pull my FAKO score.

My reports are frozen but I'm not opted out of pre-screening.

I just did Cardmatch on creditcards.com....it said I was 'prequalified' for 3 or 4 Cap One cards. I was dubious since both Venture cards were in the list and because my FiCO 8 scores are 679 (eq) 674 (TU) and 699 (EXP), but I got a wild hair and decided to go for it....approved for 30k on the Venture card. Totally shocked, but I guess it works.

Ummmm y'all know that's not a real "matching" service, right? They get paid a fair amount of money for each approval, and they're "matching" the cards that pay well. Not knocking it, but since we kinda specialize in super duper credit knowledge here.

FWIW, cardmatch matched me with CSP (a card I already have) and three wonderful FP offers.

LOL. Cardmatch matches are just as useful as Discover's pre-approval selector.

So Wells Fargo has no pre-qualification tools on their website, however, I called my banker at my local branch and she was able to look up any offers for me. I had an offer for the Cash Wise with 15 month 0% APR. I'm assuming you have to have a pre-existing banking relationship for this but its at least something.
