ubercat
Generally, if you see the Opt Out at the bottom of the pre-app you have been offered a credit line pending final approval. If you do NOT see the Opt Out language you are not pre-qualified. I'l running through the sites now and looking for new ones. If you see a pre-qual and it isn't listed here, shoot me a PM. What's "opt out" language? "Blah blah blah, you have received this offer because blah blah blah, if you don't want to blah blah blah opt out at blah blah blah. Blah blah blah in a giraffe's bunghole, blah blah blah with or without a nickle blah blah blah in your own blah blah blah."

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Also to add.....opting back in is not immediate (like freezing/thawing your reports). It can take months to begin receiving prequalified offers after you opt back in, which includes the online prequalifier sites. I accidentally permanently unfroze a bureau recently when I meant to thaw it for a few days. Since I had to put a freeze back on I got opted out all over again. Just before I did this I finally started getting offers in the mail again and I shot myself in the foot. I opted back in almost a month ago and probably won't see anything for another 2-3 months. Would love to know if this is fairly common or if anyone has had a much shorter timeframe to see results (or even longer for that matter?). Yes, no issues there at all as far as optin/optout is concerned. Two different things.

NoonRadar
If I burned citi on an installment loan for almost 7k in 2009, will this have me on their BL for credit cards? I am not aware of Cti having such a credit card black list. I know Amex does, which often seems to be for a long time, if not for life. And they hold a grudge for quite awhile too.
pressman0523
Okay, I'm great at getting baddies removed from my reports but I suck at the whole "adding credit" thing.... How accurate are these pre-qualifiers? Because I just bounced through several of the ones that ubercat graciously posted back in June and almost all of them came back with some pretty darn good offers considering my scores and reports. Capital One was the only one to come back with a secured card. And, yes, they were actual "pre-qualified" offers and not suggestions. So, I'm guessing that just can't be right...right? If your fico scores in your sig are current, I wouldn't trust the offers either. If you don't have ANY open cc accounts, I would take the Cap One secured (I think it graduates?) If you decide to get it, put the max allowed on the card, or however much you can afford. DON'T DO ANYTHING until others chime in. HeatFan2015
They wouldn't graduate my 2 year old cap1 secured 3 months ago. Was able to convert the cap 1 basic unsecured to qs1 and they say might be able to convert qs1 to regular QS without AF I'll probably try to convert it in early 2016 when new accounts age and scores closer to 680 +. HeatFan2015
From what I've read and seen the cap1 pre qualifier is pretty reliable. I have pre screened offer for another QS1 which I'm ignoring.
ubercat
US Bank is worthless, and will eventually be removed from the list - who know, it might get 'fixed'... I agree that the Cap1 is the most 'reliable' of the bunch. Do you have any cards or accounts with BofA or US Bank?

ubercat
? For me Uber? I have the intro unsecured BOA card. Just got in June I'm sorry. I was asking Press. I was going to suggest that calling BofA might be a good idea (for Press) because they seem to sit on pre-approvals which you can sometimes learn about if you call around, CSR first then UW. BofA is super accommodating on the phone. US Bank runs most of the pulls they get for new products through a second pair of eye and then offer pre-approved products depending on how this and that... I agree that the Cap1 is the most 'reliable' of the bunch. Do you have any cards or accounts with BofA or US Bank? Sadly, I have no cards at all, at the moment. I'm being stubborn and waiting for four CAs to disappear from my reports (active disputes and ITS letters that I'm awaiting results for) before I apply for anything. VintageWillow
Is there a pre-qualifier for Barclays? Sort of... it seems to give the same offer to everybody (ie not reliable at all).
