I've got my eye on a big lot near the Summerlin Shopping Center.  I will raze that Shiattybank to the ground and replace it with a Burger King.  And a double-wide.

Why not a double-wide Burger King?

When corporate flags some opposition, just indicate that it was a design consistent with local architecture LOL!

Yeah, I know. Its different this time.

speaking of people not understanding the difference between feeling and knowing... look at the number of people who got a tax cut but don't think they did: Two years after the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act — who are the winners and the losers?

Quote

As you can see, perceptions overrode reality at all income levels. Even many upper-income folks who were highly likely to have gotten a tax cut did not believe it.

man people are dumb

The aroma of cheap, nice houses after a crash & burn is sooo refreshing and invigorating.

The price of wine is dropping fast

this is being blamed on oversupply of round-up infected grapes in the USA. (even "organic" grape wines in the US all test positive for round-up)

hopefully this is really from oversupply as deflation is not good for an economy.

Hege, how about an explainer on inflation / deflation?  It would be an interesting read.

systematic falling prices across an economy: think Japan since the 1990s... deflation puts downward pressure on wages and slows corporate and personal spending -- not a good thing when the US economy is 70% driven by consumer spending

"If you torture the data long enough, it will confess anything."

Just because an economy is booming doesn't mean deadbeats, Uber drivers, welfare rats, ex cons and burger flippers get rich.

you forgot overweight food/restaurant bloggers
