BUREAU PULLED: Equifax
CREDIT SCORE: 690
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: Texas
NEW/USED: New
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2013

RETAIL/LEASE: 23,000
AMOUNT OF LOAN: 15,000
TERM CONTRACTED: 72 months

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Loan amount was after trade in, employee discount, and $2k down payment. Alliant sent a promo flier to my home with a preapproval and $100 bonus if approved. I recently just moved to Texas and started a new job less than a month ago, so I was surprised for such a low rate (lowest possible: 1.49).

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: 2013 Chevy Camaro. Flawless auto loan history, bk in 2010, a few lates on student loans 1.5 years ago. Went into credit union and spoke with loan rep in person and I really think it helped. Dealer was able to get me the same rate through GM financial but with more money down.

RETAIL/LEASE - $22000

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: 2014 Chevy Cruze LT. High APR but extremely limited credit. First time buyer, only have 1 CO from '10 and one secured card opened a couple months ago on my credit reports. Pretty surprised at how easy it was. Only put $500 down and probably could have got a lower initial APR had I put $2.5k+ down. Also had an offer for 8.99% APR from local CU, but only up to 90% KBB and max of $15k.

I know this isn't a car, but it's a vehicle... a boat..

APPROVING BANK - M&T Bank
BUREAU PULLED - Transunion for approval, but they pulled all 3 before funding.
CREDIT SCORE - 807 TU Fico 08 model
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE - Maryland
NEW/USED - New
YEAR OF VEHICLE - 2013
MILEAGE - N/A
RETAIL/LEASE - Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN - $50,000
TERM CONTRACTED - 240 months
APR/LEASE RATE - 4.50%
MONTHLY PAYMENT - $316

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: 2013 Tidewater 230 CC w/Yamaha F300. M&T required 0 down, but you had to borrow exactly $50K, no more and no less. If borrowing more or less, their terms and down payment changed. Less then $50K needed down payment and shorter term. More then $50K, no down, but interest rates went up. I ended up financing the boat/motor... Paid cash for trailer, taxes, title, electronics and anything else to get the deal.

BTW, I'd never seen a deal where a specific amount had be be borrowed to get the deal... In the past, I've always seen a range like $50K-75K...

MONTHLY PAYMENT - $559
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: I was approved with Cap One's Blank Check program for 19.31%. Went to the dealer and let the F&I guy do his stuff. Yes, still painfully high interest, but I got the vehicle I needed (Honda Odyssey) with the stuff I wanted at a payment I can afford.

MILEAGE 16590

RETAIL/LEASE Retail

AMOUNT OF LOAN 13300

TERM CONTRACTED 72

APR/LEASE RATE 4.39%

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: This was close to our worst car buying experience. Left for long periods of time with no communication. We went in knowing what we wanted the apr to be and what we should qualify for and said we'd only go with their finance if they could be our credit union rate of 4.49%.. Dh has a 4 year old bankruptcy on record. No bad or late credit reporting, just the bankruptcy (which is bad enough)

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Spent 9 months cleaning up credit as best I could before purchase. Opened a secured credit card with them 8 months ago. Completed a $250/month secured loan to bring credit up. Brought up scores from the very low 500's in January. After 6 payments they should refinance me dropping it by 4-5 points. After 3 car payments I will qualify for an unsecured credit card. I am very pleased with BCU and will hit them up again when It's time to buy a Harley.
