Obsolete Letter

Greetings,

 

I have quite a few TLs that will fall off this year. For the few that are due to come off in the next few months, I want to send "dispute as obsolete" letters to the CRAs in hopes that they'll remove them now.

 

TU= 3 TLs to come off 02/08 - 04/08

 

EX=3 TLs to come off 03/08 - 04/08

 

EQ= 2 TLS to come off 03/08 - 04/08

 

Question: Is it ok to list the TLs as obsolete in one letter to each CRA or should each TL be a seperate letter?

 

I have a lot more coming off between 5/08 - 9/08, but I figure that's too far away to go the obsolete route! Or is it???

 

Also, it seems that the "obsolete" letter is the only sample letter that I have NEVER seen! Is there special wording that should be included in the letter or should it be a one liner saying "The following TL is obsolete, please delete"?

I did three TL's in one letter to each CRA and they were all removed. Two were about three months shy of being obsolete, the third one was definitely obsolete.

 

The obsolete letter is like this:

 

Dear CRA:

 

The following tradelines are past the legal time period for reporting. Please delete them at once.

 

1) Account xxxxx

2) Account xxxxx

3) Account xxxxx

You

That year was horrible for me, because I was a victim of identity theft by a family member, and that's the year they did the most damage. And because of what I call "family politics" I didn't press charges when I found out so I don't even have a police report to use in my defense! NEVER AGAIN!!!

 

Hopefully I'll see some type of improvement in my scores after 7 bad TLs fall off this year.
