I applied for a 9k loan for a new bike over the phone with a USSA rep, took about 3 minutes and they approved the loan @ 8.45%, 48 month loan.

They advised me to go the dealer and after I pick the bike, just call them with the Dealer name, address, and the serial number of the bike.

They will also be mailing me a open check up to the 9K they I can also pay with.

Gotta love USAA, although the rate was a little higher then I expected.

This offer is good for only 60 days, I was hoping it would be more of an available line of credit in case I don't buy in the next 2 months....I could always reapply after 60 days thanks to B

Why not call and ask for more instead of another application/inquiry? Just my .02 cents!

I think I will ask for more time, can't hurt to ask...

:D Sure can't and ask if they can up it without a hard inq. Tell them you want to but a really good bike that is going to last. While 7.9 is not the best with gas prices nowadays, getting a bike is a good idea. GL :dntknw:

I once saw a guy get killed on a motorcycle. I was on my balcony overlooking the street. The motorcycle was going around 45 MPH. Just as he crossed an intersection, a car pulled out in front of him, and he hit head on at full speed. Motorcycles are sometimes hard to see, if the sun is in the eyes of the car driver, or some such problem.

Have fun.

As the saying goes... "Look twice and save a life... Motorcycles are everywhere."

I ride and let me tell you people in cars simply do not look... I have almost been hit twice. Once when I was in the right turn lane a lady went further right on the shoulder just to turn... Completely cutting me off and she just drove on like nothing happened. Thank God I am uber cautious!!!

8.xx percent is good rate on a motorcycle. The best I could get was 9.25... No one else was close... as high as 18.25% (Patelco).
