Anyone know who Nordstrom Visa pulls in CA?

Nordstrom's is primarily a Experian puller for most states. Some CA members here have reported that Nordstrom's pulled EX for them...

It figures. Seems like all of the good stores pull EX. What is it with EX anyway? Thanks Trevor.

Stores do seem to like EX. However Nordstrom's is definitely worth it. Customer service is top notch, regular increases, fast and easy rewards for Nordy's shoppers, and APR is great if you qualify for the lowest rate. I wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice another EX pull for another lender like Nordy's...

Trevor is correct. Nordstrom is primarily an EX puller. They pulled EX for me in September 2005.

I LOVE MY CARD.

Best customer service. So accommodating.

Then a double whammy for you.

1. Nordstroms hates inq's

2. Nordstroms pulls EX

Yes, Brad is right. They are very inquiry-sensitive.

I got my Nordstrom's store card, at the store a year ago, my first new TL in 5 years with a CL of 2k and an ex score of 629 that included 10 negative TL's. Just tried to upgrade to their visa over the phone with an ex 649 but got turned down (soft ex pull only) They did give me a CLI to 3.5k, though. The CSR said try the store for the upgrade, I might have a different result. For what its worth, i would try in store.

What would be considered too many inqs? I have only two on EX and the only other baddie is a tax lien with a score around 700 (or just under). Do I stand a chance?
