FUN FICO Simulator: a bit wide, but usable

I found this FICO simulator on another website; Bankrate.com.

It is a good "estimator" for score changes due to "deletions/removals", etc. Score ranges are a bit "wide", but it does allow you to play with removals, aging, etc. It also gives a bit more "insight" into how FICO calculates (i.e. morgage, # of cards, aging)

I just went through it, answered honestly, and it was pretty close. It gave me a range of 560 - 610. Note my current scores....

Your estimated FICO® score range is: 740 to 790

Congratulations! According to the information you provided, lenders will likely perceive you as having EXCELLENT credit! You should have little problem getting the most favorable loan rates and terms.

interesting - my eq is 790 - my exp is 806 and my tu is 796

pretty close!

Glad to hear it works fairly well; it's the best simulator Iv'e found yet. It seems most useful for what we are concerned about here...

My scores were fairly close also, the "motivating" item here is finding those "breakpoints" where your score "jumps".

Interesting I have a 1 30 day late from 1998 and only if I never had it does it increase my score range.

I know what you mean! Playing with the simulator I found out how severe just one neg hurts you!! I found the same "jump" in score with only one neg, even for 30 days!!

Hope it motivates you to fight that one last TL!!
