Diva_Libra
I am so glad I found this site. I don't know how much sense my post will make since I've been sitting in this chair the better part of three days... Just taken on Re-building credit and building biz credit. My personal credit scores are lower than a worm's belly button. (25-29 accounts, 21 negative...DAMN! -$34,000) Biz just got approved for $750 Staples, been inc. 2 1/2 years with no credit. believingthedream
Hi everyone! I'm a newbie, too. I have been trying to post a new topic all afternoon, with no luck. I'm trying to get a credit card - to transfer hubbies $7,500.00 balance credit card, but have no idea where to start. My hubbie's credit score is 580. Mine is 470. We are currently paying 33% interest on this darned thing. Any ideas/suggestions would be most appreciated.
believingthedream
I'm having a lot of problems initiating a new topic, too. Hmmm....wonder if something is wrong with this function or if my newbie self doesn't understand how to do it.
shado
I'm having a lot of problems initiating a new topic, too. Hmmm....wonder if something is wrong with this function or if my newbie self doesn't understand how to do it. Hi and welcome to CB I don't know what you have tried already, but you might try the following Go to the Credit Forum and scroll to near the bottom of the main page, click on the New Topic button. (the button is located inbetween the Forum Topics and the listing of the names of the users that are currently in the Credit Forum. It should open a new window for your question. Enter your topic in the Topic Title bar. Then scroll down a bit and write up your question in the space provided. The go down to where it says Post New Topic and click it. Hope this helps

TimmyC
Hello everyone.. I have been lurking for a while. Have gotten my EQ and TU Reports.. Got a TU Scrore and it is 671.. Want to get all three credit score monitoring.. I was given Equifax Credit Watchâ„¢ Gold with 3-in-1 Monitoring by my company because of security breach. Pulled that 3-1 in Jan.. The addon only gives Equifax score which I havent purchased yet.. I just checked out the TOS on Credit Secure from American Express which is an Experian company.. It gives you Unlimited access to your personal 3 Bureau Credit Report and PLUS Credit ScoresSM from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion after the review period ( this I did not like). I liked the price of $11.99 per month charged to my Blue Sky Card after 30 days.. is there anything better????? So my question is this.. What is the best and most economical way to get unlimited credit score monitoring for all 3 with unlimited access to reports and pay for a annual or per month basis and support CB at the same time? I have seen the links.. but want to most up to date current info for April.. I have read, read and read some more.. I am ready to start taking action.. Admin breeze Posted April 28, 2007 Admin Share Posted April 28, 2007 Does anyone know how many post are needed before you become a member? That's a secret - but not way too many, we promise. We even change it pretty often so no one can figure it out. It's for your safety, really. Think about it.
Admin breeze Posted April 28, 2007 Admin Share Posted April 28, 2007 Sorry for the inconvenience. If you are brand new to the forums, you will not have access to PM's. Look under your member name - if it says "newbies" your access to PM's and board email is restricted. The reason we do this is the overwhelming number of solicitations and scammers who come on the board. Some people are more naive than others, for one thing, and assume that everyone here wants to help them. There are scammers here just like everywhere else. We give these newbs some time to get their feet wet before they get exposed to those bad people behind the scenes, where we can't intervene. Unfortunately newbs with credit troubles are sitting ducks here, so we do what we can within reason to provide some protection at first. The other reason is to discourage the people who come here to sell something - A lot of them know they can't spam the board without getting caught, but they will spam via email or PM if they can. Once they realize they will have to participate for a while (we don't say how long), they go away and find some place that's easier to spam. I know it's inconvenient, but it makes the board a better place to be overall.
MarkMack
Hello everyone, I'm knew to creditboards but very familiar with it at the same time. I' am looking to get my score in the 700 range. That would be an accomplishment in itself.
hokkie_99
I too am a "newbie" who has been lurking for a while now. I have been trying like heck to digest all the information that is on this site, but between work, wife, kid, and Army Reserve duty, I don't seem to have as much time to sit down and read like I would prefer to. I look forward to any and all assistance I can get from the veteran members here, and I hope that soon I too can be offering up advise for others! b_thomas26041
Hello...I have been lurking for a few months, trying to get a game plan together before I start the recovery and reading as much as I can to avoid asking redundant questions. At one point, I saw a topic that explained most of the acronyms used on the boards but I cant remember where it was at. Does anyone know? I have figured alot of them out on my own but some have thrown me for a loop.

There is a great list of acronyms in the FAQ section (up on the top of the page in the red bar next to CreditPulls) Here is the link to that particular part of the FAQ http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?a...DE=01&cid=

alero287
Hello, I am a newbie as well. I've been glued to this website! There is soo much on this website, sooo much good advice and helpful info! I'm almost overwhelmed...I have been trying to fix my credit for about 3 months now. I have even bought books and stuff. I am only 20 years old but I understand that credit is EVERYTHING! My mother has filed BK and my father's credit isn't the best so I don't want to repeat their mistakes! I moved out of the house and I relied on my 6 credit cards! Well I maxed them out and now I'm trying to pick up the pieces! Quite a few accounts have been closed and one in collections....sorry....I kinda got carried away...I'm going to sit back and read for now.
