DeAlannyc, thanks for the info. A few questions: Is Willacy a purse vendor because that is all I was able to find in a search. Do you have a website or email address for them? 9f living is a furniture vendor, right? Which of the 2 gave you the 10k limit and reported to Dnb right away? Thanks again in advance.

Jaycee0111, the vendor WILLACY is the purse vendor which gave me only a 5k but offered me a 60 day net. 9F Living is the one who reported asap with a higher limit of 10K however they are 15 day net and have a minimum order to get account activated.

Sales@9fliving.com (type: business sales in header) it took 3 emails to get their attention.

info@shopwillacy.com

let me know how it goes!!

A little info on the FedEx companies:

I have a corporate account with FedEx but I always pay my bills with credit card. I contacted my account rep today about moving to invoice payments and she said they were net 15 and they do not report to the business CRA's unless it is to post a negative entry.

I also contacted the credit department at FedEx Office (Kinkos) and they also said they only report for negative purposes so there is no credit building opportunities there either.

A data point about Reliable: they require a minimum purchase of 60.00 to report to the CRA's. I learned this the hard way and had a customer service representative confirm it.

Ouchies is right! But it was worth it. They are pretty easy going though. Maybe they willwaive the minimum if you ask. when it's time to send in the order just say this is all you need at the moment.. try it out. it's worth the try to have a 15K posted.

Dealannyc, I just got the credit application sent from 9f Living. they are asking for a signature for personal garuntee. I thought this was with no PG. Did you sign that section or skip it?

Traceys, I skipped it. I think that has to be signed if your business is less than 2 years old. I was approved fairly quickly. good luck! they have great stuff.

Does FedEx need to see other net 30 accounts before they start reporting? I just made a couple orders over the weekend for Uline, Reliable, and a 3rd one that I can't remember right now (actually my cousin made the orders). I am about to start sending a lot of letters out CMRRR to fix my personal credit, so I want to do it with FedEx if they are going to report, instead of using USPS.

What should I do? I need to open a business account with them first. I don't mind paying everything on a credit card for the first few months, as long as they give me invoice terms and they start reporting at some point.

Deuce 50, FedEx will report after about 3 months of using them if your balances are high. They tend to ignore accounts with small purchases.

keep in mind that you need trades that hold more weight. Have you tried Home depot yet? open up a commercial account, will most likely give you a 5k limit. this is good to have on your report.

^ any idea what's considered high balances for FedEx?

Also, I'm going to open as many non-PG accounts as I can, so I will definitely try Home Depot. I just have to patiently wait until the net-30's start reporting so that I have a score.

High Balances for fedex are maybe $400 a month.

I used to do $3000+ a month with FedEx AND UPS for the last 3 years, not one ever reported for me, even when I was late a few months.

Does anyone know if these two companies report to any of the CRA's ?

1. AIT (shipping comany)

2. B&H photo http://www.bhphotovideo.com/

called b&h photo and the young lady in the credit department seemed somewhat reluctant to speak about their policies...

just an update, after talking to some different ppl over at AIT, its seems, according to them that they report to D&B as well...

Here is a list of many companies that offer terms some report, some don't but if you have that DNB Credit Builder you can add whoever doesn't report I believe. Some of these companies may be inactive, as this list was compiled about a year ago from another source. ENJOY

Technology Store

They offer Net 30 Terms, know they report to the DNB but not sure how fast yet...

I am new to this site so not sure where to post all the things I know of and have been learning?

Great site though, it's changing the way I think about things!

Thanks for the new vendor, I am going to try them out and will update back when/if they report. Their prices seem a tad high but if they report it may be worth it. Any idea about approval criteria?
