Well I'm looking forward to absorbing as much as possible. I went through two cancerous brain tumors. Wiped me out, and shot my credit as well! In 18 months I wiped out a 1 mil dollar self employed medical policy. I'm on every credit bureau trying to get things off. Is there anything else I can do. I started my own business and getting money for my company is a bit difficult.

I found this forum through Google. My daughter is going through a divorce and her credit is not the best. I recently lost my husband due to cancer and need to fix my credit so I can stand on my own two feet once again. So we decided to do a search on ways to fix our credit. Its a little crazy but is going to help us both out in the long run.

Wow what a wonderful resource this is.

I have just left the workforce due to a disability and am retraining for a different career. I decided I would take this time I have to fix some of the mistakes made. It is amazing what can be accomplished in a relatively short time via mail and phone.

My journey started in January of 2014 with TU 486 eq 483 and EX 497.

Utilization at 0 with just a Cap 1 unsecured quicksilver 500. 2 auto loans current and 10 baddies.

Waiting to see the results of 4 items dropping in the next week! Including a repo changing to PIF and all lets deleted due to GW letter! Wow!

I'll keep posting and more importantly reading!

Thanks for giving me hope everyone!

I found this board from another board on a totally different topic. So far I have pulled my credit reports. Current FICO is 494. I'm so completely overwhelmed and feel all but paralyzed by my situation. Procrastination has been a major THIEF of JOY in my life up until now. I refuse to stay on this path and must get better. I am posting here in hopes that the boards will keep me honest and keep me moving on this stuff. I feel like things are hopeless for me....afraid that my credit is on the brink of affecting my relationship with my boyfriend of nearly a year.

I have read and listed to psychdoc's transcripts but that was in the early fall of 2013. I feel like I need to read/listen again but I'm fearful that any sort of inaction on my part will throw me right back into the cycle of procrastination again.

One day at a time......
