Hi there, i am in the midst of a lawsuit with Huntington Bank and Equifax for inaccurate reporting, not verifying disputes, etc.. I go to another pretrial in Federal Court this Tuesday...

What i would like to know is if anyone else has had problems with EQUIFAX, if so would they be interested in documenting anything, heck, maybe this will turn into a class action suit... At this point, i would like a show of hands, (or in this case messages) showing any interest.. I dont care if you are from Ohio, Mississippi, or the other side of the world.. I'm thinking if i bring in 20 or so letters (maybe less, maybe more) of people getting screwed by this company, i can open some eyes..

Heck, my report has been off limits to anyone for almost 6 months (yes im even paying to receive nothing from creditwatch)

let me know...

thanks a bunch

PLease give me more details. What kind of letters are you needing? What kinds of situations or evidence do you need? Is this against Equifax? I would like to jump in and be part of a class action suit?

EQ delete 8 of my old positive closed acccounts? Why? According to them, my file became too large (too many soft inquiries, disputes, TLs) and there wasn't any room left.

I am having problems with them reporting inaccurate information and not responding. I have sent them the first DV letter and when I received no response, I sent the second. Their 30 days are almost up for the second and I have had NO response of any kind.

I have a letter from OC that account was paid C/O in 7/03 and only 3 lates with a notation that it was 180 days past due.

EQ has translated that into 43 x 90 days late

They have it paid as of Jan 04 not July 03 (justifies this because of 180 days passed due notation)

told me to talk to accountant or banker and they would explain that it was ok for them to mark it late 7 months past the time that it was actually paid and this would alsojustify them adding the 43 lates also even though the OC reported 3.

Oops sorry

also deleted oldest positve tradeline because they said file getting too big it was only 7 years old. Because it was oldest tradeline it Caused FICO to drop 20 points.

Eq first of all deleted my oldest TL of 30yrs. And also disputed 3 medical acct's W/Ca and Eq keeps reverifying but they are not really reverifying they just say that they are. By the way that deletion of my 30yr TL caused a 50 pt loss.

just a quick update, the pretrial meeting just got cancelled, equifax's attorney could not make it, (said family member passed away out of state), so it gives us more time for these notes, keepem coming....

I have another issue with EQ. When I disputed a collection account, they changed the 'status date' to the current month making the collection appear as if it was recent when it was really 2 years old, causing my score to drop.

EQ has deleted all of my tradelines that were good. I started out with I believe 35 or 39 accts total and a 15 year credit history 7 were negative reporting accts. So far I have only 7 accts left ALL NEGATIVE. I have a 5 or 6 year credit history now. They deleted all tradelines that were closed reported good, no matter what the date was. Then they deleted my only two active tradelines one open 2 years and one open 6 months. Both are HH credit cards with perfect history. I have tried in vain many times to get them put back on. HH reports them to EQ every month and I have gone to the top at HH and have had them manually try to add the two deleted accts back on at least three times. TO this date they are not added back. Equifax says I disputed them and they deleted them because they were not verified by HH. I said how can that be when they report every month to you and furthermore why would I dispute the only two good tradelines I have left from you morons?. Funny Sherman and Midland and Home Q survived their "mistakes" no moving them. They have screwed my report and they know it.

I don't know but I've been reading alot of old posts and alot of people have been stating about eq sending a stall letter requesting more info about half way into the investigation. I know from experience that they do it. Sometimes they will still investigate sometimes they won't and that is wrong. I know in rare cases they might need to request more info but if you pulled a cr from them(they know who you are) if they put a fraud alert on you CR(they have identified you) If you have an acct that reports every month and they have your address then so does eq. That's how I heard that CRA get your addy's b/c the creditors report it. I think that's funny they send it 2-3 weeks into the investigation. I think all 3 CRA need to have a class action lawsuits against them b/c they all violate and either don't investigate, delete postives TL, don't delete incorrect addys, etc

I love how they refuse to remove deleted tradelines with request from the actual CA because it was not signed.

Also they can delete discrepancies that are extremely blatent (i.e. lates after account reported closed) but refuse to remove current status lates from same closed account!!!!!!

I've got 3 accounts that have dup negative TLs on EQ. Plus, just last week, they deleted the wrong TL from a dispute...

I had a student loan and a car loan, both from Provident Bank. Disputed the student loan as closed, and sent me the results letter showing a deletion, but found out today that they deleted the Auto loan, which was one of my best aged TLs.

Can't wait to see what this does to my FICO score...
