  1. That's right folks!!!! $9.95 per month for SCP!!!!!! I just signed up my wife. It as not a trial membership either. It's for as long as you want or need. I was listening to KFI last night and heard the radio promo. checked it out today and worked. TU B* just got cheap!!! Go to www.smartcredit.com/tim
  2. so, I signed up for SC a few weeks ago before I knew about the $9.95 promo and canceled within the 7 day trial period. I tried to reactivate it under the promo and it didn't work. I called and they said that this will not work any longer. they now have it where your account is tied to your SSN and if you attempt to open a new account under the same SSN, it won't allow you to do so even if the previous account has been closed. so I asked them to change my price to $9.95 and they refused. I requested to speak to a supervisor. at first she said the same thing. but I said, "my friend just signed up and is paying $10/mo and I'm paying $25/mo for the same thing. does this sound fair to you?" and she said, well when you put it that way, no. so she said she had a work-around. she had to check with the IT dept and make sure my credit monitoring wasn't active. since I had canceled the account a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't. if your account is still open, she said it takes a few days to deactivate the credit monitoring portion. then she set some flag in my account where it made it reconfirm my identity. when I logged in, it asked for my SSN again. she told me to enter 555-55-5555 and save. that cleared out my real SSN from my account. then she closed my account. then she told me to clear my cache and cookies and go to the promo URL. I actually just used a different browser which I had never used to access the site. I signed up, but had to use a different email address, since the other one was taken by the old account. it allowed me to then input my real SSN and continue and I'm all setup at the promo rate. just FYI for anybody in my position. the supervisor's name is Rochelle and she was very friendly and helpful. she said just to call the 800 number on the website and ask for her next time. the same can't be said for the first CSR I spoke with... couldn't pass up my chance to start a Master thread

  3. ...before anyone says "read the 300 page thread" I ALREADY HAVE and I get the process. I just need a straightforward answer to my question -- "yes" or "no." Thanks.
  4. I don't want to pay $24.95 and $29.95 respectively for Smart Credit Premium and Transunion Plus. Is there any coupon code or trick to get these at cheaper rates? Thanks in advance.
  5. I canceled my subscription for $24.95 yesterday so that I could re-sign up with the Tim Conway discount. Is it okay to do so today or will that cause issues with their system? Also, do I need to use a different CC?
