  1. Wow. I just got off the phone with Citi Best Buy. I have two accounts, 1 with a 600 limit and no annual fee and the other with a 300 limit and a 29 dollar a year fee. I was asking about getting the fee removed from the smaller account. The rep I spoke with informed me that BOTH of the accounts would now have the fee, and ALL Citi BB accounts would now have the 59 annual fees. So, my oldest good account will be closed in June after 4 years of perfect payments.
  2. I have a credit card with Best Buy that I have had for over 4 years. They just switched their credit provider to Citi and unfortunately HSBC closed my account. Citi did pick up my account so i didn't lose the credit over all but now it looks like a brand new card on my credit report and lowers my average open credit age which in turn hurts my credit. I'm in the middle of building/rebuilding my credit so this is actually kind of a big hit, what can I do? Is there any way for the credit report companies to recognize the new account with the same age as the old account??
  3. My Best Buy Rewards MC has not reported this month. It usually reports on the 7th of each month. It probably has to do with the transistion over to Citibank. Has anyone else encountered this?
  4. I am moving. I am renting a small 2 bdrm home about 10-15 minutes west of my current location. Movers are coming 8/23. Fenced in back yard for Cosmo! I needed a washer and dryer. I hated when I had to schlep clothes to the laundrymat. I checked out BB, Home Depot, HHGregg, Lowes. I went to Sears outlet, not happy. I also looked on-line. They all price match; supposedly. It was between HD and Lowes. Lowes gave me 10% off as purchase was over $299.00, then Lowes gave me an extra 10% off as I had a coupon since I am moving and applied on-line. Also the w/d was on sale. Even though I am not buying a home, i am moving. HHGregg gives you a debit card to rebate the $79 fee....not interested. When I walked into HHGregg, I had four salespeole surround me...didn't like that. They sell on commission.. Lowes and HD don't. I went with Lowes, as I received the extra 10% off. The washer and dryer has free delivery and install. Electric dryer; no gas there. Also First Energy has a $50.00 rebate for Energy Star appliances: washer, a/c, dehumidifyer, fridge, ect. I am doing the Lowes no interest for 6 months. They gave me $4500 CL. I got the set for $958 out the door; this included the hoses, duct thingy. Knock off $50 more when the rebate comes in. Many people don't know about the rebate energy star program from First Energy. First Energy is in several states. Your utility may also have a program. There are also rebates to haul away old appliances. http://energysaveohio-home.com/energy-efficient-products/energy-star-appliance-rebates/ I started packing up my stuff. I didn't realize how much stuff I had. One person and a dog. I have more T-shirts than I could possibly wear. I have to go through them, and thin them out. Books, books, books! I haven't moved since 2006.
  5. After being black listed with Citi for years I was able to get approved for a new Citi Best Buy store card! I hope this is my in with Citi going forward.
  6. and it's picked up by Citibank. I wonder what happens to my BBRZ mastercard now... http://www.forbes.com/sites/greatspeculations/2013/02/21/citi-cards-is-back-and-snaps-up-capital-ones-best-buy-card-portfolio/
