  1. CBer's, I want to ultimately get a second mortgage charge off tradeline removed or at least changed to a more favorable status. First attempted a loan mod that was eventually denied. I then proceeded to do a short sale. The dates and amount from the short sale are correctly reported on my CR. I have read Psych Doc's transcript, which had a lot of good information, but I didn't see specifics for dealing with a mortgage charge off. When dealing with the OC he recommended using the FCBA, but to me that seems more for credit card billing errors. I am thinking I should try sending a validation letter, but wanted to get some advice. If it matters the OC is B of A, the amount is $73K, first payment missed was 12/2009, short sale closed in 03/2011, and I am in California as was the short sale. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Erik
  2. I just ordered my husband's credit report and CHASE Bank has an account as Closed and Transferred to another lender, but no CRA agency is reporting on the account. I have a few tradelines like this on my own reports and I'm not sure how to handle these. We're not disputing that the actual accounts are ours, but we want to be sure all of the fees associated with the accounts are accurate. I was looking through PsychDoc's Transcripts and while Triaging my Report, I wasn't sure how to label these types of tradelines.
  3. Experian was showing me late on an Wells Fargo account I NEVER had so I immediately disputed this information with them and the results of the investigation came back "verified". I have contacted Wells Fargo Credit Bureau Dispute Resolution Department three times via fax, letter, & a followup letter. Wells Fargo has responded (within 30 days or less) with same boiler plate letter requesting the same documentation which was sent each time. What should I do next to get resolution?
  4. I have two different first premier accounts, which I did have 2 different credit cards with first premier. My question is the OC is still reporting negatively on my credit report even though one was transferred to a collection agency. One of the accounts shows charged off and the other account shows closed. What steps should I take to have these items removed?
  5. Quick Question -- So is the no one way to get an Original Creditor removed if it was first charged off and sent to Midland but then Midland removed it because they could not validate? WIll I have to talk to the OC and discuss a PFD perhaps? Would I have to offer the OC the whole amount of the debt even if Midland brought the debt for something (even if it less than the actual debt)?
  6. My Verizon account was sold to a Collection Agency but Verizon is the only company to report to the credit bureaus about the account. I called Verizon (I was careful not to give any information) only my name. They stated that they don’t actually handle the account there and transferred me over to the Collection Agency. Now, the CA sent me a letter about a month ago offering a settlement. I actually want to settle with the amount they offered, but I want to ensure that Verizon updates my account with the credit bureaus. If it were the actual CA reporting the bureaus, I would have done a Pay for Delete letter weeks ago, but I’m not sure how to handle this since the CA technically has nothing to delete. How do I move forward? Send Verizon a pay for delete letter? The Verizon rep did let me know that once I settled with the CA that they’d update my credit report as Paid as Agreed. Should I send the CA any letter? If so what should it say? THANK YOU GUYS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
  7. Hi there! I've got myself a fairly uncommon situation, at least my Googling seems to indicate so... I'll try to keep it brief, please prompt me if I'm leaving out anything important! I have a derogatory account that was originally incurred via the dentist through Unicorn Financial, which is now owned by Chase Health Advance. This originated in January 2007. My charges as per the dentists' ledger total $5731. CHA has my total charges for procedures at $6167. What the heck? That's a discrepancy right there! Also, with all the fees and interest charged, my original account balance (by my calculations, receipts and statements) should be $7414. I've paid over $3600 toward this debt (no interest is accruing anymore), but my most recent receipt shows a balance of $7138. That...just... doesn't add up. Is there a way to formally request an itemized reconciliation of my account? Is that a standard course of action? Is there any disadvantage to doing so? I asked for one verbally back in September, and the CSR said he'd send a detailed statement, but it never came. They do have my current address. I'm terrified of restarting the 7 years of reporting the account. It's noteworthy that I am still dealing with the original creditor, even though the account has long been charged off. In fact, it's due to fall off my credit reports next year. I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that! I have been making small goodwill payments toward this debt for several years, and it has never been reported to a collection agency. I do eventually want to settle this debt, but right now I just want to understand what I'm being charged for so I can have all my ducks in a row in preparation of settling in the future. It's important to me that the amount of debt I'm working against is correct in the first place! Any advice would be welcome! Thank you! PS- where is the spell checker on this forum?
