  1. Hello everyone, DW and I opted out at the end of October and I swear we have never had so many offers for sub-prime credit and insurance. Do the CRA's have an information marketing blowout sale during the estimated 5 days for the opt out to take effect? Is this normal? I keep telling my wife " it will probably take a month or so for the offers to stop." Has this happened to anyone else?
  2. Does Opting Out improve your scores? its been so long since someone spontaneously wanted to give me credit that I don't know if I should bother. top score is in mid 600's with TU but they are climbing fast as stuff is taken off of tradelines and resolved... just wondering...
  3. Hello, Just got an Email from Equifax after my Dispute Letter. They have sent me two links for my investigation results. One to Opt In and one to Opt out. Should I use the Opt out Link or should I just ignore the email? Thanks.
  4. Opted out for 5 years. Do I need to opt out of all medical and collection agencies on my credit report before starting the HIPAA process?
  5. Greetings fellow credit restorators! I have opted out via this link provided by Master Why Chat (lol) https://www.optoutprescreen.com/?rf=t I printed that form, signed, dated, and mailed it. Is that proper protocol ? Have I opted out or should I then send the letter provided by PrivacyRightsNow to all my creditors? If the answer to that is yes - I mail those letters regular mail to the billing address i have for them? How long do i then wait to mail the address correction letters to the CRA's? & last question (I think) is are the following the correct addresses for the CRA's? These are the ones that are listed when I pulled my report from annualcreditreport.com. Transunion - Fraud Victim Assistance Unit , PO Box 6790, Fullerton, CA 92834-6790 Equifax - Equifax Information Services LLC, PO BOX 105167, Atlanta GA 30348 Experian - NCAC, PO Box 9701, Allen, TX 75013 Oh no that isn't the last question - I am correct that the NJ SOL for medical disputes is 4 years? I've been reading these forums for a few months now & I can't seem to figure out what the term back door means.
  6. Hello all, I have requested my annual report from the 3 Ca's and opted out. I am now sending letters to the 3 CA's to remove all old and invalid address. My question is do i type or hand write these letters? Do I send them certified or regular mail? Send them to the PO BOX provided in each report or is there a special location i send address disputes to? I am new here so sorry for all the questions I have read WHYCHATS guidebooks http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDEBOOK.html - & can't seem to find the answers. Thanks in advance !!
