AMEX has changed their sign up bonus for the HHonors card. It's now 75k points for a $3k spend. That can get you 3 nights free in places like Orlando where they have several hotels for 20k/night, and they are not bad hotels. There's also locations that you can use points and money to get nights so you could stay at a hotel for 3 nights for 60k and the fourth night for for $50 and 8k points. If varies by hotel. https://www304.americanexpress.com/credit-card/hilton-hhonors-surpass/25330 When I got mine in Feb the first 40k was after the first purchase and then you got the remaining 20k after a $3k spend. Just thought I would mention this in case you're looking at taking advantage of the AMEX 2 for 1 app. I think this card is better than the Citi HHonors card because of this change and the fact that the AF is $20 lower on the AMEX and the points per dollar is much better on the AMEX. The upside to the Citi card is that the 2 weekend nights can be used for expensive rooms in bigger cities where the same room for one night could be 70-90k points. It depends on if you're looking for quantity or quality from your sign up bonus. Also the Citi has no foreign tx fees. Neither card waives the AF the first year.

Conveniently forgot to unfreeze EX, applied 1/1/14, went to in-progress. Called the next day, gave them my pin and approved for $2k *gasp* and 17.24 APR. Second lowest limit after Target! This is my 3rd Amex revolver, I also have BCE ($8k), Delta Gold ($6k) and PRG. With 2013's churning activities, I was surprised to get this one at all so I'm fine with the toy limit. Hello D* 1/2/98.
