  1. Dear All: Desperate need of help! I am new here and have spent so much time readying an learning! In the interim I have sent out dispute letters and validation letters to OC, CA and CRA. Here is where I am...(as of 1/7/14) Experian: 651 Equifax: 577 Transunion: 593 I don't know how to move forward! 1) I DV'd SEVERAL collectors (Mutual Mngmt., Firsel Law Group, Ltd [working for Jefferson Capital], and Convergent Systems [they gave it back to Verizon]) that were not appearing on my credit report. They have stopped bothering me since. 2) I sent a DV to Capital One who responded "We received your application by phone or internet and your account was opened on 12/10/2008. The last charge billed was on April 9, 2013 for $22.54 and your last payment of $200.00 was received on April 5, 2013. Their most recent response stated that "the information the credit bureau sent to us may not have contained everything needed for us to fully understand the reason for your dispute." 3) I DV'd First Premier who gave me zero information in return. Instead they stated "n your correspondence you did not indicate what specific information you were disputing or requesting to verify." I have 2 accounts with them...I complained to the CFPB who sent my complaint to the South Dakota Dept of Treasury. That is pending. 4) I DV'd Macy's who I owed 82 bucks to. It was through a collection agency. I paid it off years ago and in my youth and naivety did so w/o getting it in writing! Needless to say it has not come off. Complained to CFPB. 5) I DV'd CreditFirst who sent me a copy of my signature and charges. (ULP) 6) I owe Verizon (done nothing here yet) 7) Capital One/Saks - I DV's them - They have not responded but continue to call me even though the letter demands they cease and desist. 8) AFNI - I just DV'd them - Waiting on response for an old Sprint debt - Sprint is trying to charge me $62.31 as taxes and fees after I terminated my account. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. 9) ALLY - My auto finance co. - Was late several times in 2013 due to injury - they are not willing to work with me 10) Cortrust Bank - Paid it off and closed it 2 years ago....how do I get this off? How do I get this all fixed. Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Does anyone know if any of the below tradlnes have a history of deleting early if I dispute "Obsolete?" Webbank/DFS - DOLA 9/2007 First Premier - DOLA 4/2008 Merrick Bank - DOLA 2/2009 Thanks!
  3. Hi all, Do I have a violation here or is it wishful thinking?? I had a FPB CO back in 2010, which I recently paid (I know first mistake) in the first half of September '13. I have a "paid" letter somewhere that I can't seem to find but I plan on writing FPB and request they write me again and tell me when the payment was made so I have that proof. I do have it on my credit card statement as well. I recently (beginning of Nov) disputed (jack attack) the CO dates for Sep '13, some lates (which no longer appear on this report) and a few other things and got the following update on my report: I believe the payment history should show a CO for Aug and Closed from September on, correct??? So does this mean they failed to properly investigate my dispute? If so, do I go after the OC with a letter showing them the errors and threaten to complain to higher authorities if they do not delete the entire trade line for the violation OR do I do the same but go after the CRA? Or am I crazy?? Thanks for your ideas... Funk
  4. I have two different first premier accounts, which I did have 2 different credit cards with first premier. My question is the OC is still reporting negatively on my credit report even though one was transferred to a collection agency. One of the accounts shows charged off and the other account shows closed. What steps should I take to have these items removed?
  5. I have an old First Premier Card that was charged off 6 years and 8 months ago and sold to collections (I've since paid the collection and it was removed.) That account is the oldest reporting account on my credit history now at 7 years 9 months. I was cash and carry for 5 years until about 2 years ago when I decided to get my act together and really work on my credit. With a lot of help from these boards, I've been able to do so. I now have no bads other than the old First Premier Card. I have 5 new CCs (the oldest is 31 months) along with a car loan and a personal loan to boot, all of which I've kept immaculate. My question is this. If the old First Premier drops off, is that going to kill my score based on credit history (going from 8 years to 3)? Am I better off trying to negotiate with First Premier to keep it open and reestablish that account? I should mention, one of my new ccs is with First Premier. Anyone know of any success stories doing something like that? Or, am I better off allowing the bad to simply fall off and go with the merits of my new credit of 3 years? My next conquest is a mortgage around the same time this is set to happen. I'd really like it if my new 700 score didn't get whacked. Any assistance would be welcome and appreciated.
