  1. I've tried a few times over the past couple of months to dispute some info on my EQ report. I've tried it by going into my EQ account where I pull my reports from and it opens a new window and then says it can't get to that page. I've tried it by NOT logging into my EQ account and the same thing happens. I've tried it on Chrome, IE and Safari and it always gives me the error that it can't connect to or find that page. Anyone else had issues with that?
  2. Hello everyone- Can anyone tell me if it is true that once a company admits an error in it's reporting to the CAs, all related credit reporting for that account must be removed? I am struggling with a very delinquent mortgage on a house that is now being sold in a short sale. The impact on my credit has been disastrous. It was originally with Countrywide. I disputed the reporting via Lexington Law. It was a long shot, but thought I would give it a try. The reporting was being done under the name Countrywide. Bank Of America now holds the loan. They reviewed their records, removed the Countrywide reporting (so I got a notice that it was removed- yippee!), then immediately put back on my CR in the name Bank of America (womp womp). Someone at Lexington law said that since BofA essentially demonstrated that their previous filings were erroneous by the removal of the Countrywide foreclosure status, ALL of the credit reporting for my mortgage had to be removed. I never followed up with Lexington Law because I canceled my service with them, but this has been a hope I have held on to without being sure 1. If it was true or 2. What to do next. I would appreciate any help you could give. Thanks very much. PS If I have inadvertently left out details that would help in answering this question, please let me know.
  3. Hello Everyone, Been lurking for awhile, this is my first post. I've recently signed up for USAA Credit Monitoring and noticed that Experian doesn't seem to be reporting my previously deferred and defaulted student loan. This loan has been rehabbed through ECMC and In May was bought once again by a ACS represented company (previously through ACS as well.) It seems that Experian is reporting my current student loan incorrectly. I've attached all my Student loan Trade lines. It seems that Experian is reporting my current student loan in the "potential negative category where the other two are showing it as a zero balance and showing it current on a different trade line. Is this meaningless since it shows as current? Do I need to contact ACS to get these changed if they need to? I'm not sure why that BRAZOS entry is there although I belive it should be gone since the rehab (BRAZOS was affiliated with ACS during my old loan days.) I've noticed that my Experian score is much lower than my other two. I appreciate any insight that anyone could provide (sorry for the links, learning how to post!!) and thanks for reading! http://imageshack.us/a/img405/7710/img003rew.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img818/1386/img002kd.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img585/196/img001yr.jpg
  4. Hey all, So this morning I get an alert from CreditKarma ( 5 am ), it stated that I had new derogetory information, a late payment or past due. So I am like what are you talking about there is no way! It states that the account is from Chase, the only two accounts I have ever had with chase were a first and second mortgage. This home was foreclosed on in 2008 and the first is listed as a foreclosure as it should zero balance, and the second is listed as settled for less than amount, charged off and closed zero balance. The last time anything on either account was reported was over two years ago, and that was because I disputed the trade lines because they were reporting incorectly. So I am thinking to myself, I just pulled all three reports four days ago and all was fine. So I start to think, is there a re-aging going on here, but on credit karma they say the account was just reported as closed and with a late payment on the second mortgage... I laughed at that info, so for giggles I updated my score with them, and my score is way up from the last time I pulled, how can that be with this new adverse information? So then I start to think about it, I have not logged in in over 3 months. So I decide just to be safe I go to TU and pull my report, guess what, all of the information is exactly the same as it was four days ago, there was no new reporting on either chase account. So I am thinking that creditkarma used a false flag to scare me into loggin in and updating my score, because their info is so vague, it caused me to run to TU and pull a hard copy to veryfy what they were saying. Is this a common practice? This seems very underhanded, fraudulent and deceptive. Regardless, my reports are fine, just wanted to share my experience. I wil be closing my account with them because of this. D
