I got my first Chase card 4 months ago. Slate with 2000 limit. Have used it heavily and paid in full every month. Just applied for and was approved instantly for 7000 CL. Called next day for CL recon... increased to 10K, since it was that easy I asked for more... denied. Initially i thought "10K is nice since I only got my first cc 9 months ago (cap1 with 300 limit) then thought about it some more and called back. Felt I should have received a higher limit with my income, payment history on other cards, and 3 loans paid flawlessly for high end cars. Talked to a very nice lady in the lending dprt... instantly approved for 20K. My advice.... pay your cards in full every month or carry a very minimal balance, and take advantage of recon numbers. Talking to a person really helps.

Does anyone know of a physical address to send a registered letter for Chase Credit Card Services? All I can find is the payment address and even if it wasn't PO Box, I understand that correspondence is routinely discarded from those. My searches are coming up empty except for the board of directors, and I didn't think I needed to go that route yet. Any advice? Thanks,

I am a Marriott Rewards member, closing in on Gold status. I would LOVE to have the Chase Marriott Premier Rewards Card. The issue, it looks like they typically pull Equifax or Experian, which for me would be an immediate denial. Is anyone aware of any special considerations given when applying for the card if you are a Silver or Gold Rewards member? Clearly, this is a Chase card, so they are the ones assuming the risk. Does my good standing with Marriott count when I apply or not? Dave

OK. So original mortgage was through Suntrust when property foreclosed. Apparently Chase acquired Suntrust. At this time, while my 1st and 2nd mortgage were both through Suntrust, i have both showing under Suntrust (who no longer exists) and I have both showing under Chase. So far in looking through the backdoor, as I disputed them all, the SUNTRUST verfied one of the mortgages while the CHASE are still being investigated. What would be you guys advice. I was going to write a letter referencing the whole Mortgage settlement (illegal foreclosure practices) and the fact that in light of being included in those practices, I will be at peace if they would simply do away with the tradelines and let me live my life. Kind of like a goodwill of some sorts. Only issue is, I dont know who I write to seeing as Suntrust is really Chase but its still showing diff addy for Suntrust. SMH. Anybody jump in anytime here. These are set to drop between late this year and early next year but Experian is not typically fond of obsolete disputes and i dont want to go in with that knowing I dont have much i can go back with after that is verified since its kind of like admitting to the debt. Please advise.

I noticed a comment from another seemingly astute person building business credit here that after obtaining a business voice mail, he notes as important applying for a Chase Mastercard just for denial. They indicated it's important for Experian & Equifax for some reasons. Can anyone else embellish on why that would be the case and that would or would not be advisable? I also read it's advisable to persue Chase backed trades or Citibank backed trades etc and "getting into their system" helps. If this is advsiable I wonder if the same could be said of applying for a Citibank line or GE Moneybank line?

When I got auto-approved for Chase Freedom, the message said: Your new account has a credit line of $5,000. If this does not meet your needs, please discuss available credit line options with our Customer Service Specialist when you call to confirm receipt of your card. I activated it, but didn't speak to anyone or ask for a CLI. When is the best time to do it?

Does anyone have experience with the pre-qualifiers on Chase? I checked it out and it said I am pre-qualified for two cards, Slate and Freedom. Obvioulsy, pre-qualified is not pre-approved, and both are sometimes meaningless anyway. With FICOs in the 670-690 range, it appears from CreditPulls I would be toward the lower end of the approval range for both. Had a Chase card back in the 90's which was closed in 2004 (no bad marks) and still have an AU listing from 2004 that is on reports but not updating. All checking and savings are also with Chase. Would it be worth going for either of these two? What I really want is the Marriott Rewards, so would it make more sense to try for that instead? Or do I just wait to do anything with Chase until my scores get over 700?

Ive been wanting to app for two Chase cards soon. The CSP and Marriott Rewards Premier. I want them both for the great sign ups but was wondering if anyone has tried applying for 2 Chase cards in the same day, would they use the same hard pull? Sure would love to get a 2 for 1. I went on their site and put my info in their soft pull card qualifier and was eligible for 3 cards. CSP, Freedom and Chase Slate. I really want the $500. worth of sign ups for the CSP but not crazy about the AF. And I like the free nights(50k points) the Marriott Rewards offers, looks good with a chip and I hear its metal too.

Thank you CB'ers for All your help and Support... Your help over the last 5 years has made this Win possible! Thanks! My TU score just broke 750, so I thought what the heck, I'll try for some Big Reward cards with Chase! Background: I only have 1 previous Chase card with a toy limit. It was a former WaMu card that was transferred to Chase, currently with no balance. I have both EX and EQ on the Freeze due to too many Inq's, so I only have TU open with 2 Inq's showing from a month ago. Current TU myFICO - 752 So, here I go thinking All my Apps will be declined..... 1) Chase Southwest Premier Rewards Sig Visa. - Instant Approval - Limit 7,000 - 25,000 bonus points Waited 2 days.... then decided to go for more 2) Chase Sapphire Preferred Sig Visa - Instant Approval - Low limit 5,000 - 50,000 bonus points Waited a few "hours" and still wanted more!! 3) Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Sig Visa - Approved! Limit - 5,000 - 50,000 bonus points plus 1 free night at Mc. Now, the Marriott was NOT Instant! I was initially declined due - too many applications within a 6mo period! So, of course I called the Chase Recon number! Answered some questions and bam Approved! I about fell over... Granted it's a small limit compared to my limits with Navy and PSECU! But I think without Navy and PSECU this would have never happened!! And to top everything off... The Credit Anlyst was so nice and easy to deal with, and she did Not pull another HP on TU!! Unreal! right! Of course YMMV - I could have just been really lucky to get a credit analyst that was in a good mood! Thank you CB !!!!

I traded in my Mazda 3 with a remaining balance of $1850.00 to go towards the down payment on a 13' Chevy Cruze. Dealer took the trade and gave me an additional $1k in incentive cash to go towards the down and "help with financing". A week ago, I logged onto the Mazda's auto loan account with Chase and it still showed a balance due, as well as an increase in the amount of interest due as I traded the car on 2/24 and the last payment was made on 2/13 by me. So I contacted the sales manager (who seemed very concerned after we completed the sale about a survey we would get from GM) and let him know that Chase had not gotten the payoff. He said he'd check on it, and later told me it was taken care of. Today I get a call from Chase demanding payment of course, as I am 26 days past due. I call the dealership again, and he says the check was sent out Friday and I should give it a few days. So my concern is that the late pay may hit my credit if Chase doesn't process the check in time, even though I've notified them of the situation. If so, what is the best way to get the late scrubbed?

I've got a Discover card and also a Chase Freedom. Both have the "rotating" 5% cashback categories, which I am only just maximizing most efficiently recently. I've never really used Discover's "Shop Discover" where you can earn 5 - 10%, and Chase's Ultimate Rewards Mall, which is similar. You basically visit the Discover/Chase site first, then their "mall" that then links you to the merchant, giving you extra cashback. Who has tried them? Do they ever fail to properly credit the points/cash?? The one thing I've noticed is that a lot of the retailers that I'd buy from, I already have that store's own card, that sometimes offers better benefits - Kohl's comes to mind with their 30% off offers. Others, however, look interesting.

I have a Chamu (ex-WAMU) Chase Freedom card. Despite the BK on my reports, they've kept me alive, and even converted me to a Freedom last year. They don't like BKers, but I've heard they're a bit more friendly once your IIBs drop off. I last got a CLI from them from $2100 to $2600 in September, 2012, around the time some, but not all, of my IIB's had dropped off. I'd like to see if I can get another one now. My scores are all in the low to mid 700s, the PR from my BK is there, but no derogs whatsoever (the IIB accts are gone) on all three reports. I PIF monthly, but, as a potential negative, I've never had a balance over about $500 on this card, so there might not be much incentive for them to give me more. Questions: 1. Is there a CLI button online? I can't find one anywhere. I hear there used to be one, or, maybe it's a passive way of telling me "go away, bankrupt scum, we don't want your CLI requests"? Haha. 2. Is the # on the back of the card sufficient, or is there a magic number to call where I might have more luck? 3. Hard pull? Soft? I know YMMV, but what have you seen? Thanks!
