  1. Hi, CBers! Looking for advice about Chase and Southwest cards, particularly how it applies to obtaining a Companion Pass. Any input is appreciated, especially if you have personal experience with any of the scenarios described below. As always, thank you all SO MUCH for any help that you can provide! Long story short, I have determined that it was time to update my credits cards earlier this fall. Particularly, I decided I finally want to get the CSP, for its 2x points on dinning and travel and the transfer options into Southwest and United, which are the number one and two airlines
  2. Just called the Chase recon line regarding my Sapphire Preferred application. Called up and spoke to a really nice gentleman for about 15 minutes. I had a security freeze on Experian and I gave him the pin to lift that. He asked me a few questions about my BK in 2010. He asked about my mortgage and income. Then put me on hold for about five minutes and came back saying that he had to send it up the ladder for further review because of the BK. He said in 7-10 business days I would either get my card in the mail or an explanation for the decline. I asked him what his thoughts were
  3. "What's that?" I said. As I looked down, I couldn't help but notice a gem that was shiny and blue. 9.3k Chase Sapphire Preferred. I couldn't help it. I saw one of these today, and decided I needed a purty metal card. I apped and was approved instantly. Didn't need it. Just wanted it. Now I have to spend 3k on it to get the bonus. Good thing my landlord takes visa
  4. Our cards were compromised last weekend so we had to order replacements. The new cards arrived today and have chips! I assume this is fairly new because the replacement card I received a month ago still didn't have one.
