As you know TU requires you to create an online account to begin the dispute process. I disputed my old addresses online. Well, I was notified by TU via email that the dispute was resolved and I could review the results. Well now, the result is all that I see. I can no longer access my report in a way where I can dispute additional information. I've called TU to no avail and have yet to get an explaination and have been guided by the rep(s)to just dispute over the phone. Any clues?

Please help create this address deletion success poll to help others weight their options when attempting this process. 1. Actions taken prior to attempting address deletion? 2. CRA's and dispute method (phone, mail, online)? 3. Results? 4. Any positive TL's removed as a result? (If so, which CRA?) 5. Special Circumstances or additional comments? 6. Date you attempted this process? Hope this yields some good info and results! Thanks!!

My Experian report has had multiple addresses, many incorrect, since I started looking at it years ago. This morning when disputing a CPA CO account (I paid Comcast directly but this neg seems stuck on EXP), I decided to dispute one of the incorrect addresses online. Just now, I got the email telling me the results of my investigation were online: Address 1 (correct and tied to my file for decades including one active credit card, several closed auto & student loans) (DELETED) Address 2 (incorrect version of Address 1 and tied to CPA account) (DELETED) Address 3 (incorrect version of Address 1 and tied to open student loans- will need to correct that!) (DELETED) Address 4 (correct and tied to three active credit card accounts) Address 5 (incorrect version of Address 4 and not connected to any TL on report) Address 6 (incorrect- seems to be a VERY garbled version of an address from 13 years ago; not tied to any TL on report) (DELETED) Address 7 (correct address from 7 years ago; not tied to any TL on report) I wanted EXP to delete the four incorrect addresses (2, 3, 5 & 6 above). Instead they deleted a mix of correct and incorrect addresses. I disputed Address 2 which seems to have cascaded away all the various versions of it, including Address 1 which was correct. Do I need to call to add back the correct version or will it automatically reappear when my next student loan payment credits? I am concerned about the fate of my positive TL tied to that address (several closed student loans, three closed auto loans and one closed personal loan)- I need them both for the positive history and for the age of my accounts. I would also like to get the two addresses (5&7) that are not tied to TL deleted. Any advice?

Hello everyone, I am a newbie to the forum so forgive me if this question has been asked many times before. I have done a lot of research on the site and appreciate all of the helpful info I've gotten so far. I am in the phase of removing all old addresses from my credit reports and have successfully been able to do so easily with Equifax and Transunion. As most of you know from what I read, Experian wont budge on any old addresses. I got some dorky sounding guy on the phone named Kevin that sounded like he was reading from a script. My questions is this: Is it even worth the time to dispute negative TL's with Experian or should I try to do so anyway? I also read somewhere that someone "froze" their Experian CR due to this. What exactly does that mean and what does it entail? I don't want to tell them that there has been identity theft if that is what freezing is. But I thought that maybe it just meant that no one can pull credit from this agency but not because of identity theft. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello all, I have requested my annual report from the 3 Ca's and opted out. I am now sending letters to the 3 CA's to remove all old and invalid address. My question is do i type or hand write these letters? Do I send them certified or regular mail? Send them to the PO BOX provided in each report or is there a special location i send address disputes to? I am new here so sorry for all the questions I have read WHYCHATS guidebooks http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDEBOOK.html - & can't seem to find the answers. Thanks in advance !!
