  1. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/03/07/usa-banks-creditcards-probe-idUSL1N0BWM3I20130307 When the banks sell delinquent credit card debt to the JDB's they provide very little information - just a list of accounts, names addresses and SS#'s if they have it. and most times, the accounts are sold " without recourse " - meaning that the banks don't guarantee that this information is correct , and there is no recourse available to the JDB's if the accounts sold were disputed, ID theft or due to additional charges after the consumer paid off the account. The JDB's then use these records to file lawsuits and attach affidavits attesting the bank records they claim to hold. All ties back to the FTC's investigation of the Big Nine JDB's , http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2013/01/debtbuyer.shtm and class action lawsuits against Midland robo signing http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=465175&hl= and class action lawsuits against LVNV funding where 10's of thousands of lawsuits were dismissed. http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2011-09-09/business/bs-bz-debtors-settlement-lvnv-20110909_1_debt-collection-settlement-forgives

  3. Hello All- I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping you can all help I received a voicemail today from a Sandra Taylor stating that she was going to be at my house within 3 hours to deliver papers. She called my mom's house and also my fiance's parent house as well. When I called the number, I was told it was a litigation company in CA called Pacific Holding Alliance. It was in regards to a closed Wachovia checking account from 2006 that was overdrawn. He instructed me to call Wachovia and work it out with them. When I did they told me the account had been sold in 2007 to RJM Acquisitions and I was given their number. I called back Pacific Holding and told them I spoke with Wachovia and was told they no longer owned the account. I asked him who his client was and who he was litigating for. He said that all he could tell me was that it was Wachovia and that I should call RJM like they suggested. I asked him for proof of the debt. He said that he couldn't provide that because it was helping my case. He continued saying that they sub contract attorneys in each state (I'm in Pennsylvania) and that I would see all the paperwork in court. Later he said he would talk to his supervisor to see if they could mail me something and that he would call back by Wednesday. I don't remember this checking account, I never received any mail about it, it has never appeared on my credit report. Apparently the amount overdrawn was around $500. I researched Pacific Holding Alliance and can't find any information about them. Is this real? Will they take me to court for this? Any information is appreciated.
  4. I'm super excited. I received my secured card graduation letter in the mail today! I received a big drop in the APR and the fee elimination. The letter didn't mention if I would receive a credit line increase so I'll wait for the new card and account information. Now I'm going to open up a secured personal loan with them to create another positive trade line. So, by the time all my baddies fall off by next year if I can't get them off earlier, I should have a very nice credit score.
  5. Hello, I'm just really curious as to how the credit bureaus should be reporting this transaction. I consolidated my student loans, including the two private ones I had with Wells Fargo. I aquired these loans before Obama policies changed, requiring all instutions to use Federal Student Aid loans only. Anywho, Williams D Ford told me they paid Wells Fargo and now the loans are consolidated with my million and one others. The credit bureaus are reporting or shall I say that Wells Fargo is reporting that they were transferred. Is this correct if they were paid in full? If so is there a SOL for this to appear on my reports? This was well over 10 yrs ago. Thanks for your feedback..
  6. I had three student loans with Wells Fargo that i never paid on and were resold to another lender i have since rehabilitated the loans and the loans are reporting paid as agreed with the new servicing company but i still have the derogatory marks on my report from when Wells Fargo had the loans after a few phone calls to WF they are not going to remove the remarks for me and they do not fall off my credit report for 4 more years does anyone have a suggestion of what i can do or a good number at the executive level to get someone to work with me.
  7. Experian was showing me late on an Wells Fargo account I NEVER had so I immediately disputed this information with them and the results of the investigation came back "verified". I have contacted Wells Fargo Credit Bureau Dispute Resolution Department three times via fax, letter, & a followup letter. Wells Fargo has responded (within 30 days or less) with same boiler plate letter requesting the same documentation which was sent each time. What should I do next to get resolution?
  8. I have a WF credit card and checking account and my credit history was clean till last month. About 2 months ago, I had a single charge of about $42 on my credit card that I forgot to pay. Wells Fargo waited until it was 30 day late, then took money out of my checking account and applied it towards the credit card balance. No issues with that. What's worse is they sent a late paid entry to all the 3 bureaus. So, now my credit is shot and if I don't do anything, this will stay on my report for 7 yrs. Is there any recourse here? I have spoken 5 times to WF customer service but they will not do anything. Is it legal for WF to pull money out of my checking account without permission? All I want is the 30 day late to go away from my credit reports.
