  1. My friend who is just starting in the process of credit repair, has several derogs and at least 30 previous addresses. He's military, moves all the time and has a lot of PO boxes and CMR (Consolidated Mail Room, overseas military PO box) addresses on his credit reports. He's started off recently with getting his paper reports (this could be key considering what's going on now) Fired off a few goodwill letters Opted Out Sent certified letters to EX, EQ, TU that show delivery of two days ago requesting deletion of old addresses. He monitors USAA CCMP daily to track his changes/progress. Latest log in to pull daily report gets an oops message from EQ saying "can't find your file, this could be because you are new to United States, don't have a file, don't have an SSN, etc." Checked Karma TU good Checked Sesame EX blank oops can't find you Checked Quizzle EQ blank oops can't find you I suspect it's just a fraud alert situation that's preventing the pulls I hope they've deleted his file as its nothing worth keeping and he can start from a blank slate (doubt it) I expect it will resolve itself with no action needed as the CRA's get updates from current trade lines or they finish whatever processing they are doing with his file. Coming into a holiday weekend and waiting on snail mail results from the 3 CRA's from his please delete addresses results and further information from CRA's. Just wanted to throw this out for reference to anyone that encounters it, I will update as he updates me. If anyone has any relevant similar experience to share I will pass it along.
  2. So a couple weeks back I sent a pathetic but true sob story to the CEO of Carmax regarding some lates on an auto loan my ex and I had. There were 14 lates listed, and I asked them to remove the most recent one in July of 2011. There hadn't been any lates for 9 months up until that point and I was just hoping maybe it might boost the score if the more recent lates were removed. I get a call back on Tuesday from Tiffany who is the head of customer service. Says she is obligated to report this information ethically ( ha!), but she has taken the time to review my account for inaccuracies and noticed there were 2 lates that were not supposed to report, and she removed them. How nice. Today I was able to backdoor TU and noticed that they were reporting 6 more lates than EX and EQ (which were identical), so I called her back. She said that 20 was actually correct and she had sent a request to all 3 bureaus to update reporting to reflect that. ARE YOU F@&%$8G KIDDING ME??? So in my request to get some assistance, she managed to screw me over even worse! I'm so pissed right now I could scream!!! Now, does anyone know how badly 6 additional 30-day lates between 6/07 and 12/10 will drop my score? (I already have a 60 and 90-day in 2012, a 90 and 30 in 2011; and a 90,120,150 and 5-180s in 2010.) Couldn't get too much worse, right?
