So I'm always chatty with the manager at my local branch of Regions, and today he tells me that, as of this year, they no longer use EX for consumer credit applications. Of course, I've tried to confirm this info online somehow, but he said it was an internal bank communication that notified him.
I saw another thread from February where a CBer apped for a card with an HP, but it was for a business credit card, so that MAY be a differentiating factor. Or the change may have occurred after that. Or maybe my branch manager doesn't know what he's talking about...so as ALWAYS, test at your own risk.
His personal estimation is that they use TU for roughly 60% of applications; EQ for the rest.
I'd still put EX on ice before testing this...YMMV.
