First, do I have to worry about identity theft if someone gets this file? Second, the rep tells me that I cannot dispute addresses or anything like that from this file. He says that I can only dispute my social security number and things like judgments. Should I be concerned here? My request had the correct information on it, but the rep said that apparently there are other people with similar names and social security numbers that could be mixed up with my file and that is how my file got sent to an address in Miami, Florida. Supposedly he is sending me a new copy and I should have it in 7-10 days, but I'm wondering what good it will do me to know that there are other people's information on my file and I can't dispute it???

Hi, all. Applying for third (!) job. Cut-and-pasting the "Background Check Consent" thing from the Taleo app process. Still in NJ.. Y'all know I get around. Anyways. Here is that c/p... what I notice is that it just comes right out and says that it will be LexisNexis or Lexis/Nexis, so any/everything on this garbage collector service is game. I can also tell you that my "conviction" is more than 7 years ago, and one of the only places it WOULD be, as records are so fragmented and inaccurate - much like credit reports - IS LexisNexis. If you want to pull a Lexis Nexis consumer report, do they do either a soft pull or hard pull on applicants personal credit file/report?
