    Amalgamated - ABOC Inquiry sensitive

Poo on them. I have better things to do with my time than interrogate the semi-concious. If I could go in to the branch, I'd probably pull an Uncle Buck. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. Got a decline from Amalgamated of Chicago, and called them up to get some clarification on their decision. I was immediately put off by the csr, who never gave his name. At the time of application, I had 5 inqs (from mortgage refi). He told me that 5 is too many, and they absolutely never do recons. I asked what the magic number of inquiries would be, and he told me that instead of giving me incorrect information to call back after 2pm and talk to Helen. Not sure why I'm posting this, other than to vent a little. I wanted to hang up on him several times because of his attitude. I had no idea that there was a direct career path from fast-food service straight into banking in Chicago. I worked in the banking industry for a few years and we would have cut this guy loose before his first paycheck. I'm not sure of the _real_ reason for the decline, but I don't want anything to do with these guys after their stellar customer service. EX:739 Declined - too many inquiries (5)
  3. I heard that they would be pushing aggressive SUBs in March. I was hoping that they would do targeted offers similar to the plat card, but I think that conversion incentives would be more likely. I am beginning to see why he has the visa/Mc rule. Trying to make minimum spend on both the SPG and PRG simultaneously is proving to be rather difficult. I'll make it, but the level of effort is high. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Why Discover Tops the Credit Card Ranking

  5. I pulled the trigger on the SPG. Partly because I didn't think that they would be adding perks. I'm under the impression that they are morphing some of the perks with slight changes to keep the same perceived value, but actually deliver less. Snakes and sparklers. Taxes and paying off car or some credit card?

adjust exemptions positively if you want less taxes withheld. just follow the instructions on the w4 and add an extra exemption or two, but remember that you might swing the other way and owe them. ideally, you should adjust it to zero out. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

  8. Your missed the best part. User's get pleased at the very end. You also didn't find out the Savory annual fees. That felt like a grammar quiz from middle school. Now I need some Surge. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

    AU progression?

Small update. AmEx finally welcomed me, which I'm excited about. Amex PRG Amex SPG Preferred 1k Disco IT 2k Alliant Plat 10k Also combined pulls on Alliant and got the refi on the auto that started this whole thing. Now to close all of the subprimes and getting to work on knocking out the minimum spends. Still hammering away at the medical.. Thank you for all of the advice!

Capital One Auto Current But Negative

Lates definitely affect your score. You can either attempt to goodwill them off or wait until they drop off your report. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  11. The takeaway here is that you should have no expectations of privacy. The CSO is just delaying the inevitable - time to dust off the old resume. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

    AU progression?

Quick update: I'm down to the one med coll. Credit1 responded to my GW email and are removing the lates. It appears I'm forever stuck with membership fee on my cap1 that I opened in 2010, so I PC to QS1. Also converted the newer to QS. Utilization ~85 -> 40% (half have reported my 0 balances) Fico8: EX: 670, EQ:646, TU: 679 Goals: 1. Refi auto from %8.6. (Auto accident-need to drop coborrower on current note) 2. Establish relationships with Amex, Chase and possibly Citi. Desirous of travel rewards. I can run 4-5k/mo PIF without issue. cap1 2,300 (59af) and 800 dcu 10k dis chrome 2k legacy 750 (75af) usaa 6.7k cred1 900 (59af), 1k (59af) AAoA ~4.5yr, 4/24 and 4-6 INCs because of mortgage shopping. (Only listed because of Citi, cv! 😊) I moved my personal checking to Chase, so I have money with Chase, FirstTech and USAA. Patiently waiting for reports to reflect balances, and then I'm looking for a win.. even if it's a small one. Score estimator puts me at 705-740 in the near future (Feb). Unsure as to which of these would be most receptive to my advances? or Would you recommend increasing current limits before pursuing those three? I'm not well versed in graduating from subprime, so any advice is welcome.

    AU progression?

Hey, no complaints here. I just finished up a graduate degree, so I know all about it. Addresses cleaned up. I had around 15 addresses removed from all three. Medical drops off EX in March, so I'm going to try to obsolete that one. There's also several 'interventions' still pending from Lex. I think I should probably lay low for another couple of weeks to find out what they actually did. Plus, still waiting for the rest of the cards to update balances and see where my scores land from that. I'll be ready to JA probably by the end of the month.

App for Marv - What say you?

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to jack the thread. I'm not the OP. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

App for Marv - What say you?

based upon the line of questioning, what is the recommendation if you have several active subprime cards? should you dump them as soon as possible in favor of middle tier cards? I may be holding on to them too long as they really aren't doing anything for me at this point. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
