  1. Just got a notice from Experian the account is verified. I also now have a fraud alert on Experian and equifax fro this dispute. I asked about this fraud alert in another post and I was told it’s because I followed your program too closely.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. So following Whychats program is a bad idea? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’m using Whychats program and following it as close as possible. These are medical collections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. In the process of working in my wifes reports. We are currently in the disputing stages with 2 old CA’s. We just found out that Experian put a fraud alert on her report for some reason. Will that help, hurt or have no impact on our disputing? Should we remove it asap or leave it for now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks for the advice everyone! Turns out they denied her because she does not have a Fico score at all. My daughter just added her as an AU to her Discover card so hopefully they will report it to all 3. That should at least give her a number. I’m not interested in any credit cards at this time, mainly because I just dont trust myself to manage it properly. (Sad but true.. lol!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. So.. Got the letter today.. not sure what this means. I wonder if we should just call back? I think when my wife was on the phone with them they would’ve told her something like this. And ask for more identification perhaps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. She called and was told no over the phone so we will have to wait for the letter to see the reason. I dont have any open credit card accounts now to add her as an AU, I only have a mortgage and installment loans at this point.. Staying away from credit cards for a while. 8. Been working on my wife’s credit recently and had several old collections removed. She currently has zero open accounts. 3-4 old closed positive trade lines and 1 or 2 CA accounts that are just now past SOL (in the process of getting them removed now). She has no Fico score with any if the 3 CRA’s. We want to start building it back up and assumed a secured card was a no brainer. We applied for the Cap One secured card and after sending them ID documents, she called them and they said, sorry.. your not approved. I was kind of surprised and disappointed we used credit pulls just to get rejected for a secured card! Is this because she has no credit score? What other options do we have now? Thanks! 9. Thanks! I had to ask.. I cant trust my math skills! I even used my fingers to be sure!! So, since its technically past SOL but is legitimate, can I still get it off the report somehow? We called the hospital (original provider) but they wont take a payment as its owned by the CA and its so old. Last thing I want to do is give the CA any money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wouldnt 6 years be 2019..?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. My previous thread was closed by Admin due to things going off the rails a bit.. I DV’d the CA after following Whychats guide. I dis the 1-2 punch and DV’d the CA and also sent the CRA follow up letters. The CA is local so they actually replied to my DV via snail mail before the CRA even received my follow up dispute letters. Does this mean the CA CAN respond and validate with the CRA since they have sent me the validation? Or are they still under the tome table of not being able to respond to them? Also.. The CA sent a copy of the bill from the hospital. The date of service was Oct 30 2013. Maine has an SOL period of 6 years. When would that be in relation to the date of service? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Does anyone know anything above this company? Are they legit and helpful? Or is a secured card a safer way for someone to build credit? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So it turns out the collection agency on the ones I am going to DV are actually local to me. Is there any reason I wouldn’t just drop the letters off with them instead of mailing them just to save time and postage? Or is it better to have a record of delivery? I was thinking it would be easier to just drop them off and mail out the disputes with the CRA’s on the same day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks! I will request the MIB asap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks for the reply Whychat and thank you for providing all of the helpful information to all of us! I have been following your process and just had many medical collections removed but there are 2 that are sticking. I have removed addresses, opted out, and have disputed them all with the CRA’s using your guide. The next step would be to DV the CA but I am waiting a little while to see if they (the CA) sends us anything after our disputes with the CRA’s. In the meantime, I was curious about finding out the exact date of service as I think it is close to being SOL but I cant be sure. It may help me when dealing with the CA. Thanks!
