  1. Well, I gave them their info, they said everything "should" be fine now. I asked about giving back the vehicle, they told me that I can't return the vehicle! Very poor service at this dealer if you ask me. But then again, it's been about 10 years since I bought a car at a dealer, and I'm sure things are different now. Thanks for all your responses
  2. I went to a car dealer locally to purchase a new car as my old '98 Ford was literally falling apart. My scores were mid 600's so I knew I wasn't going to get prime financing, but ended up purchaing the new car at a higher interest rate because I desperately needed a vehicle. Money is not the issue to pay for it as my husband and I make enough money to make the payments. I put money down, they got us financed, we signed all the paperwork, traded my old Ford, gave them the title and the car, they gave us the car and the keys, shook our hands and sent us home in our brand new car. Now, 3 weeks later (and a week before our forst payment is due!) I called the dealer to tell them I had not received any information on where to send my payments or a loan number or anything. The finance manager at the dealer told me that they needed more paperwork to complete the loan!! 3 months bank statements, 3 years tax records, proof of residence and pay stubs. I told him I thought this was a "done-deal", after all, wre took the car 3 weeks ago and they have already gotten rid of my trade-in. He tells me it SHOULDN'T be a problem, but there's always a chance it won't go through!!! WHAT?!?! How can they even do this? I now have almost 1000 miles on this car (I drive a LOT), they no longer have my old car and now they say the loan MAY NOT go through? I've never heard of this before! I thought when we signed all the loan paperwork and contracts that it was all set. Sounds to me like they were trying to push the sale through at months-end and figured they'd deal with the financing issue later. This is a pretty reputable dealership that has been around for over 40 years int he same location, not a buy here/pay-here lot. I'm at a loss...has this ever happened to anyone else?
  3. Thanks Guys We have about 4 net 30's and just got Staples and Office Depot...I think we'll wait a while to re-apply after we get more reporting.
  4. Ok, just for the heck of it, we applied for Midwest Airlines card...approved $1500.00 Then got gutsy, and applied for the US Airways card...Approved $1500.00. Tried a personal application for Carnival...denied (before all the others) Maybe business cards are easier to get?? Ok, I'm done now....now to wait and see what actually happens with these cards
  5. Yep, it's just a truck account. We have been using a Snap-On truck account and a Mac tools account for years. We did get a revolving credit line with Snap-on that reports monthly, but that is for personal, not business. Mactools is a hard revolving account to get.
  6. We applied online for Home Depot, got the code 25, called in...uw said that we have no credit file and must give a pg. Not going to do that. (This was about a week ago) I was just wondering, can we now go into the store and apply or it is too soon? And is it easier to get the card in-store? I keep trying to search this, but I get way too many results and have been trying for days!
  7. Just applied for Airtran Visa Business card...approved for $500 We'll see what happens, chances are, we'll never receive the card, or we will and they will cancel it...who knows
  8. Awesome for you! What kind of stats are they looking for, anyone know? Or is it basically YMMV like everything else?
  9. On the application, it states that at least 1 pg is required...should we just leave it blank? Or will they toss the ap if it's not on there?
  10. Thanks for the info! I will pay everything within the 30 days...but just wanted to make sure because it just didn't sound right!
  11. That's exactly what I figured! Thanks
  12. I was talking to someone recently about Net 30 accounts and they told me that Net 30's don't necessarily have to be paid off in 30 days. But if you don't PIF and just pay a portion of the invoice, then you are charged interest. Is this correct? Doesn't seem right, otherwise it would just be a revolvong account, right? If you don't PIF with every invoince, wouldn't they report you as delinquint? I did some searching, but nothing comes up on this topic that I can find
